  1. I'm originally from Indiana and go back once a year around my Birthday for a Notre Dame Football game. Jumped at Frankfort once long time ago just before Christmas. Chris
  2. I have two canopies Katana120 Pilot124 Flew the Pilot last weekend because the rig it was in was coming up for a reserve repack. It's loaded at 1.6 and is still fun to fly. Chris
  3. My condolences go out to Dave's family and friends. His extended skydiving family and his family at Southwest. Chris
  4. My sincerest condolences to Danny and Bob's family and friends. Chris
  5. The ones I dread and avoid if at all possible are the interchanges where traffic exiting and traffic entering the flow must merge into and share one lane as their paths cross. That is that Hwy 59, I10, I45 South mess in Houston by the GRB Convention Center. Chris
  6. L & B's service is top notch. This year at PIA Stefan showed me how to ad my name on my Altitrack using the Jump Track 3 software and also how to get the serial number out of the Altitrack for the signature line in Jump Track 3. I couldn't be more happier the only thing is after we did this I inadvertently had something happen to a Windows XP start up file and had to reformat the drive and load everything back up again from a backup drive. Everything is still working fine in Jumptrack 3. L & B is a great company with great products and excellent customer service. Chris
  7. Blue Skies to one of the nicest persons I ever jumped with. Here is a picture I have of Hutch up in the sky. (Red jumpsuit on the right) It is from a skydive we made at Waller, Tx celebrating Mike Blanton's 300th skydive. Hutch you made this dive fun for all in the air and on the ground afterwards. My Condolences to Hutch's family and friends. Woof Woof Chris
  8. Se You There Elio, Bill Lee, Mike Turroff and myself are coming as far as I know. I'm looking forward to the break from work. We are assholes to tea kettles here at FSS this afternoon. Chris
  9. "Anyone who saw those "devices" and thought they were a bomb is obviously a complete and total idiot" Ed Shultz agreed with you and said they ought to arrest the idiot in the subway who reported it and couldn't recognize it for what it was. Chris
  10. Ed Shultz said yesterday that they ought to arrest the idiot in the subway for stupidity that first reported it. Clearly anyone should be able to see that this is harmless and ought to be able to distinguish it from an explosive device. Chris
  11. Tuscan Chicken Sandwiches But I kind of Like Atlanta Bread Company better. Chris
  12. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kay and Ted's family and friends. Calen C. Chrzan POPS #4360 So many numbers, Got my POP's # mixed up with my USPA #.
  13. "does he have skydiving gear in his room ? That might be a sign" Is the gear pink or purple? Chris
  14. Been reading this thread for a couple of days and I don't think I can add very much to what has already been said. Johnny you were a true Icon in this sport and a fun luvin party one at that. Above all you were a genuinely good person and I know God has reserved a special place for you. Blue Skies Forever Chris
  15. Richard is an interesting guy. I was able to purchase a used Cypres2 from him with no problems. Chris
  16. Ward How bout adding the new logo to a Favicon for your website. When you store the URL from say like Relative Workshop. The 3 ring comes up in your Favorites menu and for example When you store PD's URL a little guy under a parachute comes up in your Favorites menu. I'll try and upload these icons to show you. This clearly identifies your website when you store the URL in your favorites menu. Chris
  17. Seagate makes an excellent external hard drive primarily used for laptops. I have 2 120 gig models one for my laptop and one for my desktop. They include Bounce-Back Express software from CMS Software that actually can be used with any brand hard drive and you have a choice what you back up. I presently back up my main (C) hard drive on both machines. The software is very easy to use. The drive has to be reformatted to the NTFS File system if you are using Windows XP but that is easy to do. I bought these drives after I had a hard drive failure on my 6 yr old Dell and had to take about a day finding all my backup CD's for my photos and music etc. and re-installing everything. Seagate also makes External Hard Drives that kind of stan up on your desk that have an on off switch and other features. One warning though if you own a DELL. From a variety of computer forums, The Maxtor external drives do not work very well with DELL's. In summary, I have not had any problems with these little Seagate drives and am totally happy with them and their ease of use. Chris
  18. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Best wishes to Scotty for a speedy recovery. Chris
  19. Richard was really nice to deal with. Last year I purchased a used Cypres2 from him for my Mirage G3 so I could replace my 8-yr old Cypres1 and help another jumper at the same time in getting a Cypres for his rig. Since I live in the Houston area it was just easy for me to go over to his house and pick it up. Chris
  20. I would opt up for a low bulk PD143R reserve to go with my 120 Katana. I've had one reserve ride on an original PD143R (120 Stiletto line-twist out of control malfunction) and would definitely like to upsize from the 126R I presently have in my container (Mirage G4.1 MT) if this reserve becomes available. Chris
  21. Performance Designs has posted a link on their website that answers some of the questions you might have concerning HMA lines presently used on their Katana canopies. I thought it was very informative and has pictures of what to look for in line wear and tips on how to make these lines last longer. Here is the link. http://www.performancedesigns.com/hma.asp Chris
