  1. The whole thing was ridiculous. Southwest didn't divert a red-eye from Vegas a few years ago where a straight couple who had just gotten married were doing it in the bathroom and making a real commotion in the back of the plane with the rest of their wedding party. Chris
  2. Been awhile since I was in Atlanta. Does anyone know the name of that strip club on Cheshire Bridge just east of Piedmont that had the half-sized Apache Helicopters on the roof and one on a pole out in front? The last time I was in Atlanta the copters were gone. probably caused to many accidents caused they looked pretty real. Chris
  3. Carrabas and Outback here in Houston. Raffertys in Memphis. Chris
  4. Just came across this again and congrats on the great lab results. Chris
  5. Flew out of Midway airport in Chicago yesterday afternoon and I noticed a strange looking Boeing 737 doing some tests on the northeast corner of the airport. Yes the Southwest 737 that ran off the runway last winter is repaired and up and running. It looked strange with the left engine nacelle in white and pieces of the replaced forward fuselage skin in dark green and the nose cone in white. Sorta like the famous Frankenotter. Couldn't get a picture of it cause it was back on the maintenance ramp by the time that my flight took off. Chris
  6. The Badge on the Arm is from Skydive Chicago. Chris
  7. Do a search for this post. The Cypres card is attached to it. Also in the new Cypres 2 manual they have a complete picture of the card also. I've actually used the manual's picture when I couldn't find the card in my wallet. Chris Re: [samhussey] The real problem with TSA and carrying rigs on the plane
  8. I never bought anything from an infomercial but I sat next to Daisy Fuentes flying back from this years WFFC. Chris
  9. " I'm sorry but for a bunch of gay people at a venure called the "Rainbow" boogie there is just NOT enough colour there, you lot need to lift your game next year" We're working on that. Collectively we have come up with some colorful ideas both for RW and Freefly. It's a lot to organize but it can be done. Chris. P.S. A Rainbow Toga Party afterwards? What a Hellfish idea.
  10. Squeak I'm in the early stages on working for some more color for next years Boogie that will make a Fabulous skydiving picture. Post a picture of your jumpsuit. Chris
  11. Mark Everyone wanted to see Nigel's excellent photos they crashed the server that they were on. Thank You for all you and your partners hard work in putting this Boogie on. I have a really great idea for next year. I've already told it to Brian. He told me to get busy because I have less than 12 months to do it. PM me and I'll tell you about it. I'll run it by Kirsten also. Hope Nigel would post a picture of our 12-way that could have been and also if anyone has a picture of our SCR thing they could post that. Blue Skies and Thanks for a Fun Time Chris
  12. Flew with mine in a kitbag to WFFC on Delta and to Burlington VT with no problems on Continental. TSA at IAH (Houston) did the wipe down test on both outbound flights and Champaign-Urbana did not. Burlington, VT was no problem as one of the TSA guys was a skydiver from the local VT DZ. When I fly I carry the Cypres Card TSA and Airline Letters. I have the rig in a kitbag that has an Aux. pack on the front that contains my jumpsuits and other items and i run the rig through separately as suggested. I have had absolutely no problems. Summing up: This summer has been the easiest travelling with my rig. Chris

    Altitrack

Haven't had any problems with mine. The only problem I have is with the Jump Track3 software. I have to put it in single jump mode all the time after downloading my jumps and get it to manually recalculate my Total Freefall Time. Has anyone had the same problem and figured out what the solution might be? Also my total freefall time is off by about 12 seconds on the conversion from the Jumptrack 2 logbook into the 3 software and I've done about all I can to workaround it and get it close but it's still about 12 seconds off. Chris
  14. Hemp Soap And Hemp Liquid Body Wash from the Body Shop. Skin never dried out in the winter using these products. Chris
  15. Wishbone Garlic French Dressing. When I was stationed in Thailand with the USAF during Vietnam they used to serve this in the NCO Club dining area. Wishbone just stopped making it. Chris
  16. Have my tickets booked already and my ankle is a go. Chris
  17. I had two rough openings on my Katana 120 with HMA lines loaded at 1.6 and deployed out of a Mirage G4 with the split bag. I use a large rubber band for the first locking stow and PD's small rubber bands for the rest of the stows. My last opening was picture perfect. Both rough openings were after tracks off RW dives. On one of the openings the canopy turned a fast 360. I only have six jumps on the canopy now. Neither of these two openings hurt. What I heard now about the Katana is to look up after you pitch to stand up under the canopy and keep your harness even. Also do no roll the tail to much as I heard this is what causes the Katana to do the 360 turn on opening. I don't know if any of this is true but on my last opening I immediately looked up after I pitched my pilot chute and did not try to steer the opening with the risers and I must say the opening was very slow staged and dead on heading and it couldn't be any better. Try some of this and see if it works. I forgot to add I have about 1000 jumps on Stilettos, 700 on a 135 and about 300 on my 120 neither have opened hard. Sabres were a different story. I made a RW jump in Beaumont TX some time ago when I jumped a 135 Sabre 1 using another type of stow band ( not rubber bands)and it opened so hard it darn near cut my lower back in half. I saw the video that someone took of the opening and it cleary showed line dump. I was using something other than the small rubber bands at the time to stow the lines. After this experience I never went back to using these type stows. My opinion only, I would make your stows a little longer. Chris
  18. Hey Ryan I PM'd you concerning the Pilot. The Pilot is really an excellent canopy. I have flown a 124 loaded at 1.6 and every opening has been gentle and on heading. The canopy flies nice and is really easy to land. These are all qualities you want in a canopy. What others said about the late flares is correct. I have occasionally been late on the flare but I just pushed lower on the toggles and the canopy actually set me down nice. The canopy is very easy to land in a hot no-wind situation. Obtain a demo and give one a try. Chris
  19. My deepest sympathy and condolences. Blue Skies Forever Conway Chris
  20. Just read this thread. Hey Conway get well quick and many vibes. Chris
  21. Get a Chiropractor to assist in the design so the rig sits ups properly on your back. Most rigs sort of hang to low. I would have a Unysin Harness and a Skyhook.
  22. Mark Reference the patches, Another thread on this site made mention of a company that does the patch embroidery. Here is the url. http://www.perfectpatches.com/design.htm Hope this may be of some help Chris
  23. Mark I received a realy neat Katana luggage tag with my Katana purchase and I intend to ask PD when they come to TX where they had them made. I think the logo on the luggage tag would be neat Chris
  24. Kolla, Reference the Stiletto, I have about 700 jumps on my 135 and about 300 on my 120 and I've jumped other brands of canopies and when I put my 120 Stiletto on my back and made a jump it seemed like jumping and old friend for a canopy. I bought the Katana 120 after demoeing one because I believe it just fly' cleaner, smoother and quieter than my Stiletto not that any of my Stiletto's were not great canopies cause they are. Chris
