it would be nice to have people who would do what was right and people who would actually lead run for office. i think that the american public has become so ignorant as to what it takes to keep a country running that politicians are forced to cater to the masses instead of make the tough decisions. people like that above tend to not run because they know that they would not be electable due to their willingness to reform, not continue the status quo. colin powell is a good example imo.
