  1. From the documentary I saw apparently Syd was really fat and looked totally different too and at first none of them recognised him. I was at the Earls court concert the night the seating collapsed - we got tickets for another night and they turned out to be really good seats - I thought it was the best concert I have ever been to. Saw Roger in Manchester in 2002 which was still pretty good. Would have been good to see the Wall live - only got it on video
  2. and ..... "I never had the nerve to make the final cut."
  3. "If you should go skating on the thin ice of modern life, dragging behind you the silent reproach of a million tear stained eyes." "And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear you shout and no one seems to hear and if the band you're in starts playing different tunes I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"

  8. 2 great 4 way dives from Langars' new caravan before it got too windy
  9. The DZ I learned at is closed now - but had really stopped going there much anyway in favour of a bigger DZ. It still holds fantastic memories though! Aahh - those early Brunton days .......
  10. Have jumped them lots in the UK without incident - nice big side door but usually only have 8 people in the door and the rest further up for C of G - makes for good swooping practice if you're last out!

  21. March????!!!!!! - it will still be winter Could we stretch it to April/May? might be a little warmer? Langar gets my vote - its central for us northeners and will have two caravans and a let this season. The furthest south I have been is weston! Not sure if I will qualify as I rarely post - just lurk
