  1. Only obliquely related, but funny: http://www.zug.com/pranks/viagra/
  2. Saw a funny Wanda Syke routine last week. She was saying that, when it becomes obvious that it ain't gonna happen, then further action is just cutting into her sleep time, so she comes out with Oh yeah baby!
  3. I most recently saw him on Southpark.
  4. They were the buyer on most of those items, except one of the stereos and this rig. Sarge -- did you get any answer to your questions?
  5. In boxers, I mostly dress to the left. In jockeys, I dress in the middle. In the military, I dress right dress.
  6. No, but I play a trout from time to time.
  7. Looks like you... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3461790042&category=15727#ebayphotohosting
  8. I see that the Katana order form has 650 Microline as the only choice. Is that a new line? I've only seen the 550 and 825 used before.
  9. For those new, and not so new, to formation loads, check out Jan Meyer's bigway guidebook: http://www.makeithappen.com/products/bigway.html Many of us know this stuff, but are not able to clearly explain it to newer jumpers. Jan has gone to the effort to codify the info into a coherent document. Any one tip is worth the cost, and there's a lot of good info there. Order a spare for your flailing friend! Gary
  10. That link seems to be March of last year...
  11. I wouldn't put too much faith in that chart. It has the Spectre 135 packing up considerably larger than the Stiletto 135, but I found the Spectre to pack smaller.
  12. A previous record, 246, was consecutive even numbers, although not prime.
  13. I remember my first kiss pass, some 30 years ago. It added a new sensation to skydiving -- that of taste. I could still taste her lip gloss under canopy. Ellen Wadley, where are you now?

The most disappointing thing, so far, is that the face shield cracked after 6 jumps, starting just above the hole for the latch. The chin strap cuts into my neck, which I knew before I bought it --not too bad, but I don't fasten it until just before exit. Downward visibility toward the handles is a bit limited, such that seeing a chest mount altimeter takes an effort. This is also true on the other full-face helmets I've tried. I have to open the face shield quickly after canopy opening, or my eye glasses will fog. It makes for warmer jumping in the winter, but I don't jump in extreme cold.
  15. Yes, I had a full set of all sizes of pad, and did just that -- put a smaller size of cheek pads in. If the chin strap were attached higher up in the shell, rather than just spanning the bottom edge of the shell, it would help the helmet to stay secure on my head size/shape.
  16. Did you have trouble fitting the FreeZR over glasses? I made a few jumps on one, and found it to have lots of room for my glasses. I would have bought one, but I found that it moved around too much on my head, especially during opening.
  17. Any word from PD as to recommended canopy loading? For instance, would the recommended size be the same as a Stiletto, or smaller?
  18. Hey, Tony, you're already getting famous and you haven't even shown up yet! Anyway, there is now an alpha team member showing on the web site with 550 jumps. Gary
  19. Well, where I jump jump tickets are still $15 ($13 block) and tandems are still $100, same as 10 years ago. Pack jobs are still $5 -- the only change is that now you are "expected" to stow your brakes and unstow your slider.
  20. Full face helmets somewhat restrict visibility, mostly downward, ie. cutaway and reserve handles. If you wear glasses, you probably also have to very quickly get the helmet visor open after canopy opening, to avoid fogging your glasses. So, better to be a bit more experienced with the sport before adding that complication.
  21. I just bought a Boeri Axis Performance for skiing. I made a few jumps with it, both freefly and flat fly. It is probably the best model they make for skydiving, and for skiing if weather is cold. I was going to buy a different model, th Myto Switch, for better ski day ventillation adjustment, but the chin strap cut into my neck. The Axis chin strap is great. There are "audible pockets" on both sides, just pull back the liner, and shove it inside. You could easily remove the goggle strap snag potential by just drilling out the attach point. They are kind big, but they are pretty.
  22. Why is it surprising that plans existed to invade Iraq before the 9/11 attacks? Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11; they are separate issues.
  23. Greens: turnip, collard, mustard. Pot liquor with cornbread.
  24. Actually, it's either one. "I could care less" is correct as sarcasm. I always preferred the direct statement, "I couldn't care less," but I really couldn't care less.
