Absolutly not., did you read my earlier posts? LOL! Yah, I told a Tandem student to bring somthing warm to wear after he asked me if we were going to be at New Cuyama for a while! This happend after I was asked to answer the phones in the morning and get students started on their paperwork (waivers) before the staff even showed up! Anyway, I'm not violently opposed to Tandems, I just don't see to many of them coming back. To those who do, great.

Tandem students do effect the "purity" of our sport. I've always thought of it as cheating. Thrill without the responsibility or consequence. It attracts the wrong type of individual. Someone who wants to participate in a sport but do absolutely nothing to learn about it.

I don't like Norton because it is imposible to fully uninstall. It fucks up my trash can "norton protected trash can" sucks! It also puts icons in your Control Panel that won't go away even if you un install correctly. The Norton Firewall is not as good as ZoneAlarm. As for antivirus, I use Panda Titanium, it runs quietly in the background without any noticable slow down of performance.

I fly a Sabre 150. I got a '24 inch pilot chute (zero-P) w/ kill line at Square 1. I thought it was little small but it says right on the package that it is for 150sq ft and smaller. They also sold a 28' inch for 170sq or higher. I chose the smaller, cause smaller is sexier! I haven't flown it yet, do you think the manufacturer is giving bad advice? edited to add... I think I would have been less stressed had I done a Tandem first but I wanted to walk away feeling like I had learned some skills. 99% of Tandems will never jump again. I find that annoying. More first time students who do AFF return to complete their training. This would suggest that AFF has deeper impact. DZ's would make more money if they ditched Tandems.

Is this new ride gonna fly soon? The boogie circuit is coming up soon. Also, it would be nice to see if those new engines work. The plane has been owned by the DZ for almost a year now. I went to the WFFC homepage and they have no mention of it. I figured it would fly there for sure!

I would definatly start packing at Perris. Maybe you could do $5 dollar pack jobs like most other DZ's. Perris charges $6 for some reason. The Perris packers have to pay "rent" to be able to pack there.

Yep, It happend to me last week. When I went cock my pilot chute, the rapid link was completely seperated from the bridle just hanging on the kill line. I couldn't cock my pilot chute anymore and had to stop jumping. Do you really want to try to fix somthing like this? Get a new bridle.

Sure, she is very attractive but she is a total idiot. Her Oscar acceptance speach was so over the top, I felt embarrased for her. That picture is really hard to look at! Why does your leg look like that? I thought the scar would just be a straight line of stitches. Your leg looks like they opened it up and forgot to sew it back shut. I don't mean to sound harsh! I'm just interested in knowing why it looks so bad!! I tried it but decided to get the Havok instead. The Boomerang looked kinda funny because it is not symetrical. One side is flat so you can mount a camera. It feels claustrophobic. On the plus side, it is very low profile.

I would stay in the IHOP if it's available. The bunkhouse is nice too. I've stayed in both. The Bunkhouse is closer to the Bomb Shelter it's a hallway with rooms and a bathroom. The IHOP is a real house, it has a kitchen and a TV/DVD in the living room. A little more fun to hang out. The IHOP also has a jacuzzi in the back which is nice after a long day of jumping! Bring EAR PLUGS!!!

I simply can't understand the logic of the poll. If this place is really that terrible, again, I ask why do you want to help them earn back your business? You say that there are other dropzones in your area, go to one of them instead. Perhaps you could give us some specific examples of why you feel this way.

What was the price increase? What was the old price? Why are they raising it and calling it a charity?

First off, you need to identify yourself. It shows that you have balls. Second, if you are going to bash a dropzone, I would recommend not jumping there anymore. I'm almost positive that your post will be fowarded to the DZO by a loyal MileHi jumper who is online. If you hate them, why do you want to help them to earn back your buisness. I wouldn't bother. If the DZO is apathetic, you don't like the people and the vibe sucks, do you think they care about what you think? I would jump somewhere else.
