  1. the funny thing is that I looked at the picture and thought...."which person are you talking about"? Glad she had a good time, and yes, why the hell not. You only die once. my pics & stuff!
  2. another trick I learned (and don't use) is to rock, or start a chipping motion, and pull when head high. I did notice it helps, but never really remembered to keep doing it. my pics & stuff!
  3. or you can just pencil it and no one would know. shit, did I say that out loud? my pics & stuff!
  4. gotta agree with Geeeee. Did 25 jumps over the weekend, and no issues with odd winds. Unfortunetly, the landing area has no grass, but hey, the cheaper plane rides make it worth while. my pics & stuff!
  5. that is pretty sweet. Sorta a mind bender until the light comes on. How much shrinkage do you get from this, if any? my pics & stuff!
  6. The Stiletto has no need for one Why? Canopy goes outa trim, it opens like shit. What makes it any different than any other canopy. Why have vectran on a saphire? my pics & stuff!
  7. got the same thing goin here, and works awesome. but I did cut the finger off of a latex glove, and wrapped in over the switch to keep the slobber from screwing up the switch. my pics & stuff!
  8. you don't have these problems with french links. my pics & stuff!
  9. I think I would judge that person on how much pride they take in their work, and the quality they put out. Not on how they choose to spend their own time. I'm a pretty good judge of character. But, to each his own. my pics & stuff!
  10. obviously a rigging stoner pissed you off. I think you should take care of this issue with that person. So far the consensus is that it's the same as beer. my pics & stuff!
  11. Mathias, didn't you have a different digital? How long have you had the Rebel? I recently got a 10D and love...except that it weighs a ton. JJ my pics & stuff!
  12. Personally, I think it would probably be just fine. I put quite a few jumps on 330's and 300's and loved them. As for the snatch force issue....I don't think that's an issue either. We used them on Sigma's and they drogue collapses after extraction. Does this make sense? You'll be fine, what could possibly go wrong? my pics & stuff!
  13. I agree with Yahoo, take tons of photo's, and experiment with it. I usually us AV set to anywhere from 5ish to 11ish, with the ASA set to 200. But that's with good lighting. I've had to bump it up to 1600 (ASA) and use 2.6(?) for the aperature after the sun set. And I got this (attatched). Shutter speed was about 180. I have the same camera and lens too. good luck! my pics & stuff!
  14. When it got used, or I had nothing better to do. my pics & stuff!
  15. is it a raven? Sometimes the label on the end cells will flake off. No biggy. my pics & stuff!
  16. I've been shooting tandems for years, and this is what I've used, and never had a problem with it, unless it's after sunset, then you are screwed anyway. TV-mode @ 250 with 100-200 speed film, and auto focus. The camera will be slower to react, but from what I've seen come back from customers, the clarity is awesome. Your F-stop for this speed will be in a very good range, not right at the end of it's capabilities. But really, its what you are happy with. This is what I've used. my pics & stuff!
  17. probably has dacron to help absorb opening shock. I've replaced steering lines on some xbraced canopies with dacron. It seems to last longer. my pics & stuff!
  18. I got some attitude when me and the x would jump together, and the kiddo was sleeping in the pin. I didn't give a shit. I understand thier concerns, but it's our decision. We could easily have died in the car on the way home. Are you gonna hold back a couple from maybe bonding some more? my pics & stuff!
  19. nope. I'm in San Diego for the summer. Hope you guys have a great season. Be safe. my pics & stuff!
  20. come on Tera, you know who this is....It's JJ????? and my home DZ 'was' SDO. my pics & stuff!
  21. good point. I did have one incident where the line twists were pretty bad. And we ended up getting stuck with our backs to the wind, and I couldn't kick us around. The canopy was flying straight. I had to have the student kick with me. Thank god the guy spoke english. It took both of us. Pretty funny in hind sight. my pics & stuff!
  22. over 500 on the 300's and 330's. LOVE THEM! Wish the DZ I'm at now uses them. In high winds, they were very reliable. (20+mph) I thought packing them was a breeze. No brake settings. Quite a few line twists, but never chopped one. But I don't think they are for everyone. If the TM is having landing issues on bigger canopies, this is NOT the canopy to for him/her. editededed to add that the openings were the best ever!!! my pics & stuff!
  23. that's exactly what I'm going with now. Thanx my pics & stuff!
