    Amazing Anne

Yeah, she's awesome! But she's married to a nice guy as well, so don't get any ideas. I admire them both and consider them good friends. http://www.exitshot.com

  5. Amen to that! and Amen to that! and Amen to that! ...or an accomplished RW coach to coach for free, or a manager to work everyday for free, or the pilot to fly for free, or the instructor to teach an FJC for free... We provide a service and deserve to get paid for it. I could say so much more about this topic... but the points have been made. I will add that it's been a lot easier to deal with this issue since I've stuck to my prices. I stick to them, and that's that. Once you set your standards, people stop asking for free stuff. If they really want the photo or video that bad, they'll pay for it. $20 for an 8x10 is very reasonable (unless you suck and the photo sucks, then by all means, give it away). Depending on if it's just video, video and stills, and the agreement beforehand, I chanrge slot + $20 at least. I'll do a team rate of slot + $15 if they plan to do a lot of jumps. vid and stills is either slot30 or slot40. I basically gaurantee a good end product. I don't care about the glory, cause like everyone has said, it's not going to pay my expenses. I'm sorry, but that's just business. We've all invested way to much money in our own equipment and time. In the words of a great cameraflyer, "I do this for a living, I can't afford to give stuff away." We will continue to get criticized by those who don't understand. That's fine. Those with that sense of entitlement lose my respect. Good luck to them. peace Karen Lewis http://www.shutterfly.com/pro/lew/skydive http://www.exitshot.com

  7. Anyone had to get their Canon 15mm fisheye fixed? I think the motor in mine is broken. Sometimes it works, on manual focus only, and sometimes it gives me ERR 99. I went to two camera stores, who both wanted to charge a "shipping and handling" fee of like $35 just to send it out to their repair place. Then the repair place would send it out to canon, and maybe, just maybe in 3 months I might get it back for under $300... Needless to say, I didn't give them my lens. So, anyone know of any other Canon lens repair places I can send to directly myself? Or has anyone sent a lens directly to Canon themselves?? Thanks for the help, Lew http://www.exitshot.com
  8. Well, I'd like to enter the women's comp because I'm female, and I'd like to qualify for any prizes in that if there are any. I'd like to enter the pro comp for fun, since I'll probably place quite low in the pro comp. I'm technically not "pro", but "advanced". So is it a women's comp or a women's amatuer comp? Isn't there seperate prizes/medals for amatuer(men) and women? If not, then how is it a women's comp? It sounds like by what you're saying someone is in one of two categories "amatuer/women" or "pro". Can't someone compete in womens and in pro? I'm trying to decide if it's worth me traveling out there for this. If I can't compete in the women's comp cause I also want to compete in the pro comp, I may change me travel plans. I would like to try for prizes in the women's comp, but also participate in pro for the fun of the beach and all that. Just trying to clarify before I buy a plane ticket. Thanks, Lew http://www.exitshot.com
  9. Can we do both women's comp and pro comp? http://www.exitshot.com
  10. Omniskore says it's a camera mal. Yeah, he only had one camera and had accidentally hit nightshot. The screen was pretty much all white. They'll probaby easily climb their way back up the rankings in a few rounds. Peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

  16. Wow. Awesome. Thank you. If I send you some money would you burn a DVD and mail it to me? If that's too much of a hassle, I understand. I'll try to download. Thanks!!! lew http://www.exitshot.com
  17. Is there a list of who's competing anywhere, or scores posted? lew http://www.exitshot.com
  18. Video doesn't count. So I'm the youngin on the load. I got a cool pops t-shirt though! The update is... Jumps were struggling yesterday. Today is two 40-way groups competing with eachother for sequentials. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

  20. Yeah, what he said. XAOS!!! I've got 21's, and they open beautifully. I don't have to worry about openings as I have with other x-braced. I've got quite a few jumps on 27's also, and the openings are soft like the 21's, but more searchy. If you're ever in Perris, you're welcome to jump mine. XAOS is definitely the way to go for cameraflying and swooping. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com
  21. is this the same John Zuliani that got 4th at the CPC Amatuer Championships last week? ...hmmm.... http://www.exitshot.com
