I think his name was Eric. He had a really nice lens on his still camera, a fish-eye, but he flew kinda far away... Anyway, I had no idea at the time that he had been stealing of course, or I would not have accepted money from him. Next day I see him being taken into the office for questioning... I don't care what's wrong with him, nothing justifies stealing. And especially from a fellow skydiver. Karma will come back to him. Something I love about the convention is usually people find stuff and turn it in. I once had an altimeter returned to manifest that I'd dropped. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

She's a Guest, so not included in the official final rankings. She had a great meet! She made the finals, so the top half. One of her accuracy rounds in the finals schooled everyone. There was funky winds, a bit downwind and everyone was stalling and chowing to hit zone 5, she got all the lines and stood it up. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com

...why camera flyers specifically? because the openings are a dream. Soft, and I mean, really soft, and on heading 99% of the time. Rare 90 degree off heading, but that's it. It doesn't dance and want to spin like other x-braced canopies on opening. Never been slammed by it, used several different packers and packing techniques. Flight characteristics are awesome. It stays in a dive well and very maneuverable in the turn and dive. Good response to harness input, very powerful rear riser input. Strong flare with a long stroke to finish it off. I highly recommend it. Do yourself a favor, just demo jump it before you order anything and you'll see for yourself.

Good point Kelly. I understand the reasoning behind not allowing weight in the standard class, but I don't think it's the right solution. I've worn 18lbs all year for swooping, and I don't want to jump my current canopies without it. If I can't wear weight, I'm more tempted to borrow someone else's smaller canopy to compete with. Now which is more dangerous, me jumping the same way I have been all year, or borrowing someone else's main? It's obvious. Maybe the restriction, if there must be one in the standard class, should be a flat out wing-loading restriction instead of an added-weight restriction. peace lew http://www.exitshot.com
