  1. Could you explain that more clearly? I’m not a rigger but I am an mechanical engineer with education on aerodynamics and I’m not quite understanding what you’re saying about loading.
  2. What's the current jumping situation in Hawaii? Looking for a wingsuit friendly place.
  3. Nope, Ive packed a lot of infinities and I can almost guarantee it won't fit properly. Besides if your jumping a 150 or 170 you have no business being on a 126 reserve.
  4. This is an 8 year old post....
  5. If it were the USA, you would be wrong. Unless the req'ment was included during the certification process. Jerry Baumchen Interesting.
  6. I suspect the manufacturer can require it so the country of operation doesn't matter.
  7. 206, that way the otter can turn at the dz. Also the short dirt strip is better in the 206
  8. This is what I got back from Randy (Director of competition) "Please keep your eye on the USPA website. There is a whole section for Judge Courses under the Competition tab. Judge courses are as rare as blood moons, so be patient." Slightly condescending but it is what it is.
  9. It's not really removable. Just but a sticker over it.

  11. Guys, this thread is ten years old.
  12. Once you do the first S fold use your other knee (not the one holding down the S fold) to make an area between your legs to do the last s fold
  13. The only issue I see with this is that there is already a standard communication and it’s Bluetooth headsets. Wingsuiters and CRW dogs use them and they work fantastic. That’s your competition.
  14. Still no luck. Time to move up to my USPA regional rep. Edit: Talked to my rep, this issue will be brought up at the March 2nd board meeting.
  15. What you are supporting. A skydiving documentary coming summer 2018. The intent of the full length film is to show people what modern skydiving is and what it means to the skydiving community. The film will also bring awareness to issues facing the sport such as the privatization of the FAA's Air Traffic Control service. It will show skydiving in a positive light as opposed to what the public often sees in the media. I hope that this will encourage skydivers to advocate for the sport, as well as inspire viewers to try it. We plan to submit the project to major film festivals like the Telluride Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW Film Festival, as well as several smaller festivals. The trailer can be seen on the project homepage here: www.skydivexecorp.com The second trailer will be out in a few weeks and will improve the documentary aspect of the project. By purchasing a ticked you help with some of the production costs such as music rights (about $750 per song) and outside graphic design. 750 total tickets at $20 apiece. You can buy as many as you want. There are about 600 left. You can purchase tickets here: www.skydivexecorp.com/support. Transactions processed by Paypal What you can win. 16. A larger diameter at the same pressure generates more force. From a failure mode aspect, if the pyro cartridge should, for some reason, not generate full pressure, or one of the seals fail, I want to have some margin built in. It will be interesting to see how low the pressure can be and still cut the loop at zero loop tension. It also allows for larger seals to be used. I am using quad rings instead of traditional 0-rings. Some of the tests will be done with only using one seal. Ah, yeah. I figured it was o-ring related. Those things are annoying to engineer
  17. Out of curiosity, why did you make you cutter so much bigger than the cypress cutter, while what looks like maintaining the same minimal cross sectional area?
  18. Haha, I know what you mean but it’s funny that you worded it like they intentionally designed it to get stuck. Skyhook compatibilitybis nice. They however still look the same.
  19. Thanks...nice rig...great pics....I just made up my mind.....I will be putting in an order. Looks like a wings. Did one of their guys split off and design this?
  20. Impressive the PC had enough force to rip it off. I thought the commenter you replied to was talking about physically ripping it off with a hand.
  21. youtube, merch, endorsements. As for the cut away, I woulda chapped that shit too.
