  1. I work at the College in Greeley. On Tuesday I didn't have a problem getting there and back home to Loveland. Hwy 34 was slow going, but fine. The college closed down yesterday, and my boss called me this morning and told me not to come in. So, that means my Spring Break starts early. I don't have to be back to work till April 1st. How lucky am I? I guess I'll have to head up to the slopes tomorrow. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 2. Tell us, what did you do this weekend? Don't be shy, I'm sure everyone wants to know the big news. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  3. Can I have two for the price of one? Hurts you, when Arano and I were watching it at the DZ, another jumper yelled in pain when he saw it. He didn't know it was Arano and I. BTW, Arano, bring your WFFC jacket to the DZ this Saturday so I can drop it off to get the name on it. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 6. One of my son's b.day is St. Patrick's Day. When he was younger he thought all the celebration was for him. I'm sure once he's of the legal drinking age, he'll be out to all the bars having a good ole time. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 7. Sorry, I don't like this idea, too many people messing around under canopy instead of looking where they are going. Just take the booties off after landing before walking back to the packing area. I also don't put my booties on till right before I board the aircraft. A thin layer of shoe goo keeps the booties lasting a long time. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 8. Ten plus years ago when I went to do my first "big way" experience, I was cut. I was lucky enough to have a LO that explained what I had to work on. I went and did that. Being cut can hurt the ego, but you have to set that aside and take away from the experience what you have to learn to do to be on the next big way. On the flip side as a LO myself, having to cut a jumper for poor performance isn't fun. Some key information to remember when getting on a bigger way, is to not put yourself in a position that you aren't comfortable with. Work up to being last out and doing the long swoop. I do hate when jumpers are cut for politics. It happens, and you're left standing on the ground for no reason. That's when you have to become the cheerleader for the rest of the team. Good luck in your adventures and don't give up. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. RIG RESCUED!!!

I'm so glad that you got some of the important stuff back. I know there is still some issues that need to be resolved, but hang in there. I'm that you'll be moving, but at least it won't happen for a few months. BTW, great job on the WFFC web site. 11. Why would that be? May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  12. No, no, remember me? I'm Famosa Cajones, are you talking about the Tandem video? If so, I'm there too. Not in the skydive, since I was kind enough to hang back and wait for Micheal to try and dock, which he never did. I learned my lesson on that one, just take the slot and be a video whore. 13. And some how I got sucker into going and helping Michael set up Hey, what more could a gal ask for, working hard in the humid heat. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  14. What she said. It's one of those flip a coin thing. Hey Val, are you listening, at least there is the altar to think about if going single. 15. Oh no, now you did it. It's Michael, not Mike. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  16. Ugh....... If the person doesn't bother to clean up the e-mail and it has all the headers, I don't even bother reading it, it gets deleted right away. It's a waste of my time. 17. The question is "How and where are the jello shots done?" If I get the right answer, I may tell you the secret. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  18. There are only so many LO to go around. I know for a fact that most of us bring two or more rigs and jump at least 10 times a day. I'm sure the wait wouldn't have been that long and you would have then been put in the rotation. The point to the LO in tent 3 is to keep the dives smaller so jumpers are learning and doing things on the dives rather than having the dive turn into a zoo. Stop by this year and I'll make a point to get up with you and your GF. (but what ever you do, don't talk to Mustard or Bill about the "feel good organizer") May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 19. There you go, do a search You'll find the answer. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  20. Great idea, why not log on to the WFFC web site and give them that suggestion. edit to add: Sorry PhreeZone, didn't see your post soon enough. 21. and as far as the LO's go....every time My GF and I were over there in tent 2 I believe it was...no one was around...maybe bad luck for me,maybe not...and I also heard a certain LO that post's on here bitching about having to do 4 way with newbies all day long...kinda turned me off to you guys...but as always this was my first experience here...and I am always willing to see how next year go's.... If you had gone to tent 3 you would have found someone to take you or your GF up. As far as a LO bitching about having to take newbies up, I'd like to see the post, afterall, if we're working in tent 3, that's our job and we knew it before we signed on. My point was that the registration fee covers more than the average skydiver thinks about. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 22. The aircraft owners cover our slots. We have to have so many paid jumpers before our slot is covered. It's a win, win situation for the aircraft owners, cause we help keep the planes in the air. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 23. IMO the registration fee isn't that much. That fee covers so much. I'll start the list and I'm sure others can help me and join in as to what the fee covers. 1) Porta johns aren't free (can you picture what a toilet house would look like, remember how the porta johns looked?) The cost of putting up real toilets would raise the cost of the registration fee. 2) Porta showers aren't free 3) Band at night, even though I didn't listen to them. 4) Free beer (again, even though I didn't drink it) 5) Ferry fee for the aircrafts that are brought in. 6) Electricity used by manifest isn't free As for the showers and porta johns being messy, you can thank your fellow skydivers for that. Why can't everyone just pick up after their selves? Lots more, but just some to think about. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 24. Michele, I can so relate to the out of pocket expenses that you have gone through. A little over five years ago, I didn't have health insurance and was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even being a single mother of two, I had a hell of a time getting my expenses discounted, and not all of them were discounted. I'm talking all the different doctor's visits with five different doctors. Add on surgery, chemo, radiation treatments, and bone marrow treatments. Ugh I'm still paying them off. IMO, American's need to take care of each other. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view.
