  1. If the WFFC was in January I think Don would see a big drop in attendance numbers I wouldn't be there, you know what a baby I am when it comes to cold. Hell, I haven't jumped since October, too cold for me. (but not to worry, I've got that wind tunnel trip to keep me current) May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 2. Lucky you. How did the clip with WFFC and myself look? I can't wait to see it. I know the wait will be worth it. I don't work doing any kind of editing stuff, in fact I'm a idiot when it comes to stuff like that, but I'm sure that Grant, Adam and the gang are wanting to get the product out ASAP. Quality is what it's all about May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  3. Oh Peter, Peter, Peter, what are we going to do with you? You crack me up. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  4. My parents call it "beach front haze". I was raised in Riverside and moved to Colorado years ago. I love going back to Calif. to visit family and friends and to make some skydives out at Perris, but I had the smog and the traffic. 5. Being as I get cold so easy, I would suggest going with the polypros. The silk ones work well too. Stay away from the cheap cotton ones, if you sweat, they will just stay wet. The polypros and silk are thinner and will be more comfortable under clothes with a jumpsuit. The secret to staying warm is to layer, that allows warm air to be trapped in between the clothes, keeping you warmer. 7. Bill, I don't thing jerry81 would like me on his aircraft. Jerry81, is this for real? Where do you skydive at that allows this to happen? 8. Free of charge, free of charge Remember that it is case sensitive. edited to fix spelling May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  9. Send WFFC a PM and ask him about his first pack job. (better yet, everyone PM him and ask him to post it on the forums) When I was first learning how to jump, we were under T-10s. I was a poor college student and in order to pay for my jumps, the DZO taught me how to pack T-10s and PCs. Now those are hard to pack. 10. Good, then we're on the same page. The next time we're at a certain Colorado DZ together and the video guy starts giving me a hard time cause I've asked him once again to put or strap in his helmet, you can back me I even talked to the DZO of the DZ and they didn't seem too concerned about the video guy doing what he was doing The video guy just said "But I always do it, and if you don't like it, then don't get on the plane with me". You know me, I now check the loads that are manifested before I manifest myself. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 11. Sorry, I was on the way out the door and read your first post quickly. I guess I learned not to do that now I would so love to do that, but in a real world what do you think everyone on the plane would do? It's bad enough the looks I get when I ask jumpers to secure their helmets. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 12. Not to get this thread of subject, but let's add something about either wearing your helmet, or strapping it in with the seat belt. Nothing gets to me faster than a plane load of jumpers with one or two of them just holding their helmets in their hands on take off. I don't care if it's hot, but the helmet on. (Yea, it's me the bossy one at WFFC that tells everyone to put their helmet on for take off) Thanks
  13. IMHO you're only as good as the person/people that you jump with. It's always a good idea to jump with someone that can give you a good debrief after the jump. Doing two way drill dives with someone that has more experience is a good way to see the learning curve go up. Oh gee....don't go out of your way for little ole me. Kinky? Me? I'd never do anything like that with the crew around with that little red light on I guess we'll just have to see what kind of mood I'm in. I know how you, Grant, and Adam can talk a girl into doing just about anything. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Famosa's famous words after landing.. "It sounded like a good idea at the time" It took me months to heal from that event. Gee, what a person has to do to make the WFFC DVD. 16. Excuse me, I think your capital lock is on (notice, everything that Bagel typed is in capital.) His name, and the subject matter? May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
  17. I have found the older I get the easier it is for me to get too cold skydiving in the winter. I've turned to snowboarding and for some reason, I'm not that cold when I'm flying down the slopes. So, from Nov. to March, I'm on the board. I logged 186 jumps in 2002 and that was only jumping from March to Nov. I don't think that's too bad. Besides, I enjoy doing other things besides hanging out at the D.Z all day every weekend. (I guess it's because I use to work at a DZ) May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 18. This is the way I see it. I believe in a god, cause when I die and I find myself standing at the pearly gates, and he ask if I believe, I tell him "yes". On the other hand if I don't believe and I die and I'm standing in front of the pearly gates and god ask if I believe, and say "no", I'm in trouble. If I believe and when I die and there is no god, I'm out nothing. I was imprisoned for 12 years when I attended catholic school. What gets me going is when people try to force their believes on other people. If everyone would just live by good morals, the world would be a better place. Who's to say one religion is the right religion and their god is the almighty? May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 19. Nicely done. As a skydiver I never thought about some of the information Chris put in there. Next time I'm on a formation load I'll be thinking about Chris May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. 20. You and I both know that DJan is very strong headed, and will stand her ground if she feels it's for the better. And that's why we love you I believe that things happen for a reason. It was only after DJan's accident did people in Colorado start taking a serious look at how canopy control was taught. If anyone is going to push for safer training it's going to be DJan. Now is that really a bad thing? I think not. You Skr, will be support that DJan needs when she is feeling the stress of her new position. If anyone can do it, it's you. IMO I think the Mountain Conference got a great deal when they voted DJan in, we got two for the price of one. 21. QuoteI can't limit it to just one.... 1) 131 way womens world record 2) 132 way California and Perris overall record and US women's recordQuote I'm with you Lisa, can't limit it to just one. Being on the Women's is at the top of my list. Being on the first World Record Cancer Surviors jump in Texas has to come in second. Third place would have to be doing the 120 way attempts for the Texas state record. I was one of the last out of the left trail Otter
  22. I saw him on Access Hollywood tonight. His hair was a little longer which made him look cuter in my opinion. *** I watched the show just to see what was going to happen with the women. Kind of funny watching and listening to what they say about $$$. The one thing that bugged me was his hair Every time I looked at him all I could say was "do something with that mop." It looked like he hadn't combed it or had it cut in months. Heck, if the show has enough money to spend in order to hand out pearl necklaces, get the guy a hair cut. 23. I've never done a tunnel camp with Airspeed, but have done plenty of time in the tunnel with private coaching. I hear wonderful things about the Airspeed camp. If you have December's Skydive, there is an article from Kate Cooper's journal of her experience at the camp. I hope that was the right month, anyone? Correct me if I'm wrong. You could also PM her for more information and feedback. Also Arlo works down there. (I hope I spelled the name right) Arlo, I'll see you in Feb. Doing a trip to the tunnel Feb. 20 till the 23. 24. Yes, good for DJan. I just got off the phone with her. She's got her plane reservation all set and is ready for her first board meeting. Now if you know Mustard like I do, she just can't go all the way to Florida and not play. She's also signed up for an Airspeed Tunnel camp while there. Good for you DJan, see ya soon.
