  4. As has been said make your cigar roll a little wider so that you will fill the corners better. Once you have it in the bag, kneel facing the container, bridle toward you place both forearms on the bag, hook your fingers into the top of the bag press down with your forearms and roll them forward. This will squeeze a lot of the air from the canopy, the top side of the bag should almost reach the flap on the botton side. Keeping pressure on with one arm, do your first stow. Unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer on a 4 grommet bag the first two stows should just reach the outer grommets. The outer two stows should just reach the edge of the bag.

  7. We have trained several deaf people at our DZ, we have an advantage in that our manifest girl is an asl interpreter, so that we were happy that the deaf students understood the FJC. For landing we use a combination of designated point and flags. we had the student fly to a designated point (students had altimiters) so that they were facing into the wind and facing the instructor with the flags on final approach. 8. my first helmet was a protec, I still use it for CReW and Dispatching IAD my second was a bonehead open face, which has become my camera helmet, my third is an Oxygn full face, i find it claustrophobic on the ground but is fine in the air, the periferal vision to the side is better than when i wear goggles, though it does restict vision down towards handles. i have jumped it in the winter and it can fog up/ freeze but it is easy to pop open under canopy andrew

  16. From Skydive AZ website Speaking of landing areas, the South area has had a change in landing pattern and is following the runway system just as the North has been for several years. This means that the South area is restricted to North/ South landings only or vice versa. so no more following the tetrahedron on the south (alternate) landing area I'm assuming that first person down sets the pattern.
