  1. We had Brian at our DZ two weeks ago, had people from 4000+ jumps to students in the course, everyone learned
  2. Go to CSPA.ca download the awards application (pdf) in the information section it is on there. 10way or bigger, over a Canadian DZ, held for 5 secs need 2 B CoP witnesses on the ground plus the pilot It is all on the form. Andrew
  3. It appears from your other thread about fitting a 170 in your container, that you have caved to the peer pressure....
  4. You appear to be a little mixed up on your terminology PFF ( Progressive free fall ) is the Canadian equivilant of AFF You appear to be doing Standard Progression with IAD then increasing delays.
  5. Jeff, Thanks for the jumps The raptor and mach1 were fun suits to fly Andrew
  6. Last weekend on 7/7/07 I got to do my 1111th jump, after a day of high winds, they died near sunset and I got to go up for a fun hop n pop. On 21/1/01 a tall jumper with a military haircut, arrived at the DZ looking to boost his jump numbers enough to qualify for the "Skyhawks" the Canadian Military Parachute display team. Chris had about 80 jumps at the time, I had 110, my 111th jump was a 2 way with Chris, Marteen ( Tee on DZ.com) was also on the load. The spot wasn't that great and we ended up in a cow pasture Some of my first posts on DZ.com were with Tee, laughing about that jump. Over the next few weekends I did some more 2, 3 and 4 ways with Chris He achieved his goal joined the Skyhawks and continued his military career. Chris jumped mostly at Eden North, when I ran in to him at Boogies we would laugh about those jumps Chris was a gentle giant with a great sense of humour His passing is a loss to Canada, the Military, the skydiving comunity and mostly to his family. Andrew
  7. Here is an exit shot of Dave and Mindy on the rehersal jump
  8. She wears doggles, most dogs, when you put something over their eyes try to scrape them off, not Mindy she would happily run around in these things all day.
  9. Paul Menier interviewed Raina and Dave on stage at the event Stacey Brotzel interviewed me on Tuesday, luckily they only used about 3 seconds of that, I think I will stick to being behind the camera in future!! Andrew
  10. Congratulations to Aimee Masurat for winning Gold in Freefly Aimee started at Edmonton Skydive then moved to AZ when she had just over 100 jumps She is back in Edmonton for the summer Her Mom Karen who also jumps and everyone at ESC are so proud of our golden (ginder headed) girl Yea!!!!! Mindy the skydiving dog, owned by Raina and Al the ESC DZO'S did a jump into Millwoods Park in Edmonton on Canada Day this was her second downplane attached to Dave, with Darren we had done a practice jump earlier at the DZ Bernie jumped the flag My video can be seen on Youtube here video of her first jumps can be seen by clicking on the "Mindy" link at here Andrew
  12. I see you jump at Z hills Instead of asking a bunch of people who have never seen you fly a canopy Next time you are at the DZ Walk over to the Bird House (Wingsuit room) and talk to Chuck Blue I think he's jumped a canopy or two... Have him or someone he recommends look at you in person, watch you land, and discuss what would be appropriate. Andrew
  13. See how time flies when you are having fun... It was Dec 05 you were in Eloy
  14. I'm sure BPA would love for you yo continue paying their huge membership fees for life When you get back to the States take your log book and license go to a DZ, join USPA , Instructors will tell you what you need to get your licenses
  15. A while back someone tested a whole bunch of zp, of different colours by exposing them to uv light, then took photos of them after x number of hours. The bright neon colours faded the fastest, with the darker colours the longest, so you might start out with a very bright canopy, but soon have a bunch of faded colours that blend in with the sky.
  16. Actually only 2 of the fatalities occurred in the 1990's 1989,1993,1998,2001,2002 As Ian said the Previous operator sold the facilities ,and is no longer involved with the operation, the DZ is now CSPA We held our Provincial Championships there last summer.
  17. At todays exchange that would be C$351 CSPA membership is C$84 which comes with C$2,000,000 worldwide 3rd party insurance to CSPA members normally resident in Canada. the BPA insurance does not cover the US which is why they have to buy USPA memberships when they jump in the US
  18. Since we have been in the deep freeze for the last couple of weeks up here in Canuck land, my thoughts turned to warmer times. i have uploaded my video to youtube a dragplane I videod last August just a short clip nothing special, thought I would share you can view here Andrew
  19. The Blade blurb is now up on the Birdman site along with the topgun video ( really nice ) I didn't see any price quoted
  20. The packing Aggiedave was referring to is the FAA requirement that the reserve canopy be packed and inspected within 120 days by a certified FAA rigger of someone jumping the rig.( the main also has to be packed within 120 days but that can be done by the person who will jump it) Your best course of action would be to contact a DZ near you and have a Rigger inspect the rig, they can tell you if it is still airworthy, and give an estimate of the value of the rig. The history of the rig might give it more value to some people.
  21. Check out the Canadian Aviation Regulations I think you will find you need an EJR Andrew
