    UFC 71?

Anyone know where to see the video free? Missed the fight tonight, already know the result.
  3. Get him back? Ya they got there differences, but White gets in shape, gets ratings for the 1.5 hour show, and comes out looking at least like he'll put his money where his mouth is. Ortiz ends up with nothing. Most would say he would have won, but now you gotta wonder if he got worried. Ortiz wins, no big surprise. Ortiz has a tough time beating White, holy crap. It goes to decision, holy crap. WHITE WINS, OH MY GOD. Any way you cut it, Ortiz doesn't get much out of the fight.
  4. Wow, I'm guessing a day of team stacks from 3000 feet would scare most people. You can always tell who was raised at a "turbine" dz and didn't have the chance to do much Cessna jumping. Lowest was 1800 feet. Regularly jump at 2.5 or 3 if the clouds are preventing any other climb. Should take you 12 seconds to get around terminal, and that only covers 1400 ish feet. (edit: not that I am saying you should wait till terminal, just saying that because you exit low, does not mean you don't have time. ie the greeny posts)
  5. Ian, Looked at it a couple of times now for several minutes.... still can't see that altimeter.... I think you need to look again..... Jay
  6. Skyventure website has announced a Montreal Recirc being built... Under newsroom if link doesn't work. http://www.skyventure.com/newsroom/default.aspx?ID=c5e53f42-1e9a-4061-8b94-26c2fc894020
  7. I think Kamloops runs the Sandblast boogie the weekend before, now that I think of it. Its a small boogie though, more swooping the river and sandbar as the water is low. Cessna 182 and Jet Ranger Helo????
  8. I don't think anything is held over the Labor Day long weekend.... I think KJP Scrambles are held the weekend after that.
  9. Dude, I was lucky enought to be given an 80 gig iPod at Christmas. Its almost cruel tho, so much free space, not enough music to fill even 3 gigs yet. Its quite the system. 30 would have been more than enough, but on the other hand, I ain't trading it in either.
  10. Hell, three DZ's in one day. 7 jumps total. Dispatched a student and jumped at the home DZ. Flew to another airport and made 3 jumps there. Flew to a neighboring airport to get fuel for the plane and jumped into there. Flew back to the second airport and did 2 more jumps into that. Turned down a jump into a skydivers large back yard. Looking back I should have done it.
  11. Last February in Eloy we had a 55 knot jump run. The exit delays, from video, were 22 seconds between groups. And even with that some of the prior group was a little below us. It took people half the day to stop yelling go. Don't sweat it. Skydivers have an attention span like gold fish, they won't remember your rig color.
  12. Dude, call me or fire me an email. Canadian contigent will be there.
  13. It has been scientifically proven that orange flies longer and farther... don't ask which scientists, I think he was high.
  14. The goal is coaching and tunnel with meet attendance, with a few longer term goals as well. Still playing with the idea of whether or not I want to be an alternate on the team. Not many people around where I am that want to train that seriously but how serious can I train in that alternate position. Its not my ideal situation, more trying to see how I can make it work for my own improvment.
  15. Looking for advice on training from an alternates point of view. I have been flying tail most of my 4way experience and am comfortable in that position (as far as my skill set goes). As of late our team has reformed and I am now looking at flying as an alternate... why really doesn't matter. Any hints in approaching this would be great, as I feel I almost have more workload now in some ways keeping up as the fill in guy. While I take jokes well, really looking for some semi-serious feedback and suggestions. Jay
