  1. must be hard to see where your going with your head up your arse You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  2. That's because they're assholes. I dont fit the standard Freeflier model, Im in my 50s and I dont drink booze or smoke pot or take any other drugs. I'm also opinionated and arrogant. YET I actually don't have any troubles getting people to jump with me when i travel to new DZs. Your mileage obviously varies. Maybe your attitude towards them is apparent on approach? 3. You think he paid his own money to have that particular rig designed and developed for his jump? the entire operation was a sponsorship deal. REDBULLshit was highly makrketed and i DO consider that to be complete shit. Infinity rig are no better or worse than Vortex.. In fact many many riggers seem incapable of packing the reserve trays to make the rig look decent. Try not to drink too much of the koolaid dude. 4. Go to Tsunami at Oceanside, good sport jump scene cool location, and Folks and Rich the DZO is a decent guy too. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  5. WTF has that got to do with anything the SPONSORED. Stratojump was funded Both rigs are TSO'd both rigs are decent try them on and see what suits you better. I myself jump a Micron so have no preference either way of the 2 you're debating. I know folks who jump both and are perfectly happy with them. 6. your options are wrong you need to have age and discipline as an option 20 -25 FS 20 - 25 FF etc.... FWIW 50s and freeflier You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  7. This is where my thinking lies. possibly too much tension on the reserve cable and over flexing the rig. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  8. Yup those 3 DZs are within a couple of hours from top to bottom. visit them all and you'll have a great time. I just left Elsinore after a 2 week stop. I love the place. Ocenside (Tsunami Skydivers) is also pretty RAD. Perris is a larger DZ with everything you could want. 9. pick your location based on other criteria. All 3 of those places are only a few hours away from each other. So you can visit any of the DZs from Byron to the sunshine coast. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  10. ... And it's on the DZ. Do a few minutes, a few jumps, back in the tube, vice versa. Having the tunnel on the DZ is a huge plus for jumpers. For tunnel rats and wuffos, not so much.yup, and I like all the staff there. There's no way I would go to Stockdale from the DZ everyday if I do my normal 15 morning 15 night. Also there's very little chance the prices will be similar You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  11. ***. No one will be flying in SDAZ tunnel. ? I will, and happily, the only time I'm ever there is mid winter, and I have no issues keeping warm, in either morning or night flights. I like eloys tunnel. Ive been in a couple of the recirculation tunnels and eloy does ths job just fine. If you cant learn what you need at eloy, a newer shiny tunnel wont help You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  12. I travel a lot and use COVERMORE, they include skydiving. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  13. Get the Fuel instead. Cookie actually designed it for cameras. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  14. For me its a fun hobby that I spend a lot of money on. To some it may seem like a don't do much else. But over the last 11 years I have had time off here and there to do other things. In 09 I didnt jump all year due to travelling and this year I'm doing the same thing. I wont ne back with my rig until about November. I did however crank out about 120 jumps in the first 2 months. I dont miss jumping all that much when I'm away from it. But I do miss some of the people and miss not being at some of the events that occur in my absence. 19. true, there's no guarantee that the new director will include skydiving in the remake You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  20. I bet several years from now, after a lost phone, broken Neptune, or crashed computer many are going to wish they had a paper log book. I have all of my filled log books, I keep them in a safe place, I won't ever have them crash, I won't ever have to worry about not being able to read over all the cool stuff I did on my first jumps! No a problem for me. Each time I fill in my log it is backed up to dropbox, and then again to my tablet. There s always 3 copies at any time You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  21. I've been using the Skydive logbook app for the past 500 jumps and have travelled a fair bit I have never had an issue with any DZs I have visited. In fact no one has EVER asked to see my logbook in the past 5 years. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  22. Actually many countries require you to obtain some form of National License (temporary or otherwise). The fact that an FAI license is internationally recognized will simply make this process easier. Now, whether the DZ you are at holds you to that or not is another question.I have NEVER had to get ANY licence from any country I have jumped at. I have had to take out temp or full Membership to their governing bodys like USPA membership, but that is NOT a licence. 23. Sack, use the suits at the tunnel If you plan on doing a fair bit of time, you'll likely need a better suit than the baggy one I last saw you in. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
  24. you don't need to convert you licence APF is affiliated with the FAI you licence is internationally recognised. I jump all over the world on my APF "E" licence You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
