  1. First time jumping at Skydive Carolina-Had a blast
  2. Pal, it's always a crap shoot. I hope you got out with minimal damage. Remember now that you're back on the hunt.....no matter how smart, sweet, and beautiful she seems somewhere there's a guy that refers to her as "My psycho-bitch ex girlfriend". Of course it runs about 50-50 whether he's right or just an ass. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  3. Can you just imagine what this kid would say on a hard opening? I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  4. Wow, is that a skydiving porno flick? I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  5. Super congrats-It's good to be appreciated. But you *do* realize who's going to be stuck with the bar tabs this weekend if word gets out I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

    GO HOKIES!

Glad to see VT in the ACC. Of course that's because I live eight miles from Clemson and am not a Tiger fan. At least that will be one more weekend that the Clemson "faithful" will be quiet I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  7. See, and I thought that they were C's at the biggest and possibly just augmented B's.......Oh, were talking about the plot or the boobies? I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  8. While looking back at old threads (yep, it's a rainy saturday in South Carolina....again) Rolled this up for a bump. Question-Those of you that responded in 2001-do you need to change your answers or do the same three words apply today? Somebody please send me some sunny skies I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

    Great Quote

http://www.greenvilleonline.com/news/2003/06/26/200306269083.htm The news story is on the retirement of the first black state trooper to work in my part of SC. I had the chance to meet him once-a really class act. The important part is his last quote in the article. Anyone who has worked in public service will see the truth in it....and I, on my part, was a little embarrassed that I haven't always acted this way. And ain't I just the little clicky machine today
  10. http://www.thecarolinachannel.com/news/542244/detail.html From a local tv station (Greenville, SC) I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  11. I got nervous when the plane stopped climbing. I finally decided it was because I felt like I should be doing something instead of just sitting there.
  12. Being a South Carolinian, I know how hard they pushed when we fired on Ft. Sumter back in April 1861. I'm fresh from the state motto thread so I'm still thinking SC history-BTW, ELDER Statesman Strom Thurmond passed away. In reverence for the dead don't ask me my opinion of him. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  13. People around here make a big deal out of the fact that even when SC signed the "return to the Union" permission slip, the county that I live in refused to ratify it. I've been trying for 15 years to turn that into a justification to not pay federal taxes-not having much luck I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  14. This showed up in my aviation news this morning-kinda kewl Attempting a clicky http://www.extremefly.com/aerospace/press/pressreleases/061203.html Just in case the clicky doesn't work, here's the URL http://www.extremefly.com/aerospace/press/pressreleases/061203.html I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  15. First off, good job of having a plan and sticking to it. Second, we do need to put together a map of how to get to the most likely outs by land. I've chased wayward skydivers at two different DZ's and nearly gotten lost at both. (You realize that we were looking for her, not you ) I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  16. OK, color me ignorant, but are they really good books? I've not bothered because I thought that it was kiddie fare. If they are actually good, I may have to start. I have to wait too long in between "Wheel of Time" and "Vorkosigen" books anyway. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  17. It's 8:15 and I've been in the office since 5 but I'm finishing my reports and heading to the DZ now. Ya'll have a great, safe weekend. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  18. It's kinda funny sometimes, though. I'm 36 and my wife is 28. Even after 7 years together (Married for 5) we still miscommunicate due to different cultural references. I owned an 8 track player and she doesn't remember not having a microwave oven. It's more chuckles than a problem and despite our 8 to 9 year age difference, I'll have to admit-I'm the best thing that's ever happened to her I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  19. That came out when I was in between wives. I think that I had nearly every song on that album dedicated to me by women that I dated. I wasn't being really nice to girls during that period. Jimmy Buffett and Jeff Healey are two people that I can listen to for hours on end. Bob Marley is good to help me calm down. I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  20. nah.. that's just that line of states from TX to GA Wait a minute-I'm just north of GA in SC-we need to be on the list I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  21. Does a certain lovely, young skychicky know that you watch that stuff? BTW, How have ya'll been? Are you going to be in Clemson Saturday? I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  22. Since you ARE a student in a large, southern university, go with Penthouse Forums I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried
  23. I need some quick feedback on if I should send this to our local Rome affiliate. I was deeply saddened by Jim Rome's treatment of the Roger Nelson tragedy in today's broadcast. Mr. Nelson is an icon in the skydiving community and Mr. Rome attacked his memory with statements that were incomplete, misrepresented, or just false. Mr. Rome continuously implied that Skydive Chicago had a high student fatality rate. This is wrong. That dropzone is one of the busiest in the world and has had many tragic occurrences. These involved experienced skydivers pushing the limits of their abilities. This is no reflection of Mr. Nelson's business. If you must, indict the drive of those of us who dare to taste flight. Skydivers are adults, we know the chance we take and minimize the risk as best we can through proper training and equipment. Roger Nelson was one of the pioneers of this training. I never had the honor of meeting Mr. Nelson but what he brought to the sport of skydiving enhances my safety and enjoyment every time I climb out of an aircraft. I have enjoyed your station. I will still look forward to a portion of your programming but I must make you aware that every time I hear Mr. Rome be it his segment or a promo, I will change stations immediately and carefully explain to every one that is with me why. Every time that I'm patronizing one of your sponsors I will make them aware of my disappointment in certain tasteless segments of your broadcast day. I doubt very seriously that I will damage your business or that of your sponsors but I hope that you must accept some form of accountability for what you choose to put on the air. I appreciate the fact that you supply a forum for me to express my views. Thank you I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

  25. Well, I have to say that is one ride I am looking forward to later in my jumping-however, I'll be in G'burg on one of those "honey, let's rent a cabin for the weekend" things and while my wife would be understanding of the fact that we were on the road a couple of weekends ago visiting friends-last weekend was rained out-I'm a low timer who really needs to get in the air on a more regular basis..etc. but abandoning her for the entire day and most of the night would mean that I'd have to come live with you and I snore, smell bad, and use all of the hot water Thanks for the reminder, though-I have a pilot buddy who's dying for some cross country time and that would be a good trip.
