Lottie shot video of my second ever BASE jump while Gambler coached me through exit....back in March 99. She's the real deal!

You've got to be kidding...this has to be a troll - Oh wait a minute, you're Australian......yes the plank should be fine. Cheers, Spence

Forget it....Streets laced with wire, rains too much, too windy, cops have bad attitude towards BASE historically (probably for good reason), plus Van chicks don't dig the "Hey I skydive..." pick up line...
-
>>Most towers have a 3/8 cable on the climbing face to hook a "safety climb", a wire-rope grab made to trolley up the cable as you climb so if you fall it will catch you, they cost around $200 new but can be found on e-bay used for $50 or so and worth having one. ...or for a couple of bucks you can use a prussic knot w/6 or 8mm cord looped through your chest strap. Not bomber but pretty effective. (BTW jokin'abut the hot fillings)
-
Was climbing my local 135' c-phone freestander the othernight. Felt my fillings heating up. Decided it was a good time to exit

No way man 2 sec delays and 5 min parachute rides!
-
I'll be there June 15 - 30!

Tom I have a 240 sqft Mojo with chronic end cell closure which functionally serves me as an old 170 sqft five cell most of the time. Interested?
-
Hey D-Base Have an object that is only a 1 min drive from my new house! You have to time yer exit between the fillups at the gas station across the street though Stop by when you get back. I guess Ray and I'll have to figure out that rockclimbing thing for ourselves. Stay safe,

You can tuck the bridle (about 1 inch of it) into the top (R) corner of your rig where the top flap and side flap meet. From there, the bridle passes on to your PC hand. If you inadvertently put too much tension on the bridle it will just untuck from that corner instead of pulling the pin. BTW I have mistakenly pulled a bottom pin out before an exit and due to circumstance had to make an immediate exit with only the top pin closed. My Vertex is a "tight" rig and the canopy stays put even with the bottom pin pulled. (OK ...I wasn't jumping up and down to prove my point at the time) Probably a good idea to pull the bottom pin at home and see what happens. edit ~ the Vertex is a 2 pin rig made by Basic Research

Hey Tom Just to add a little to the big PC debate.... I've got a custom made 52" (true diameter measurement) ZP no-cap, unvented PC which I have only used ONCE. It was TOO big!!!! [245 Fox 'vented only' v-tec, 0.70 wingloading, single bridle attachment.] It created so much drag it impeded inflation and did not allow for full flight. I had very little forward speed and a whole lot downwards. I hit the ground very hard with what felt like 'half' a canopy over my head. For low stuff I've stuck with a BR 48" ZP (46" true diameter) with good success. I was thinking I could still use the big 52" PC for low freefalls with a roundie into H2O. I don't think it would affect flight characteristics. Any thoughts?
