  1. 'taking the longest delay possible' And then some in the case of Yuri my friend. It was fun watching ur slider coming down ur lines in Ostankino as you went past the tree-line into the lake. Meeker
  2. This has happened to me twice now also. Once on a Fox VTEC245 (which only has one setting) and once on a Troll MDV 260. I am surprised considering they are both vented. Meeker
  3. When I am attempting new objects, I take a radiation meter with me. Its called a Radman and can often be found going for around $100 on Ebay. It is designed for engineers climbing towers and will recognise safe limits from 50Hz to 3Ghz, i.e. electricity towers to microwave antennas. It beeps and flashed when you hit 12% 25% 50% and 100% of the recommended safe limits set by the US. Meeker

Feral jumps pink though, and he is definately not a happy camper!
  5. My personal recommendation is a cliff in the Middle of Norway (not Kjerag) which is 4500ft and 200ft overhung. Supposedly, it is the most overhung cliff in Europe. Unfortunately, both this cliff and the Italian cliff are both now a bit grim to jump due to the cold, the snow and generally bad weather. U might have to wait until next summer now. Winter jumps do happen at these places, but it is definately harder to do. Meeker
  6. When I first got into Base, I started in Norway so I had plenty of canopy time. I practiced flying and steering on rear risers. Last year I dropped a toggle on a slider down jump at night. I let go of the other toggle and landed on rear risers. Most importantly though, I only flared half-way on my rear risers and did a PLF. I think this is a better option to avoid stalling your canopy. 7. Yes u were the last one to jump it
  8. So there I am 5.3 in the morning to do my local freestanding A - 285ft. Its foggy, but not that bad that I cannot jump safely. I am walking along the path to the A thinking to myself, wow this fog is really bad. Maybe it is too bad to jump if I cannot even see the red lights. Then suddenly I arrive at the base of the tower... Its lying in a soggy heap on its side. There are a few demolition machines aggresively sitting around it. Someone has pulled it down . It had been there since the 2nd world war and now they decide I can't jump it anymore. Meeker
  9. Yeah I was on that wingsuit jump also Tom. To be fair, there was more to worry about than just out tracking the talus. There was also me above u!. Love u, Meeker
  10. Err yeah thanks cheers for the bust mate. That was a great thing to do!
  11. I own a Vertex 1 and this is worring me. My last jump was a hesitation from 300ft. Does anyone know the actual reason for removing the floating pin? Meeker
  12. Yeah I have seen his intruction, he's very positive. The only thing that distrubes me is that he likes to drop his trousers too much whenever he sees a public statue which needs some action!
  13. I have been in this tower. U cannot get to the top floor as u need a special key. I think there is also a security guard posted at the top also. Meeker
  14. As far as I know, people have made it to the Alpiglen train station and a little bit further. I thing it will happen, but we will have to wait for another wingsuit design which I am is in the plans! Meeker

    Help on video!

I was there when that jump was done. Fantastic effort, shame about the landing. Nice calm winds, tripped up right infront of the camera and nearly plowed into a tent. Sorry Tom. Love ya, Meeker
  16. I met Duane in Russia in 2003 and we did a few jumps together. He was a top bloke and so easy going. He will be sadly missed. Meeker
  17. I did a year of high-board dive training where I live in the UK. Watching the Olympics makes me realise how good they are. I learned only the bare basics and would love to become good at it.
  18. You also forgot another Brit, me! But never mind, I don't think any photos of me wingsuiting it were taken.
  19. The line is an outside A line on a FOX VTEC 245. I have made the replacement line now, but will send an email to BR to check things out. Thanks, Meeker
