  1. That was 18 wingsuit jumps made over four days. Thursday I made six wingsuit jumps and no freefly jumps before the winds grounded us at around 3 pm. Friday I got an earlier start and made another six wingsuit jumps and three freefly jumps before the winds grounded us at around 4 pm. Saturday I got another earlier start and made two wingsuit jumps and three freefly jumps before the winds grounded us at around noon. Sunday finally was a day where the winds cooperated and I made four wingsuit jumps and five freefly jumps. But I had to leave the DZ by 5 pm. Oh it would have been five wingsuit and four freefly jumps, but Gillian offered to jump with me on my last jump of the weekend (she also made other jumps with me this weekend as well) and who's crazy enough to say NO to a member of the women's freefly world record team. So it wasn't like I made 18 wingsuit jumps in two days. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. I will be there doing my FJC with Jimmy or Marta.
  3. Personally I like being in the air flying my body and then my canopy. So I don't see a point in doing just tunnel time. But that's just me. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Comparing Trevor's footage (he uses a .3 to my .45) with my footage from the same jump. I'm beginning to think I want/need one of these .3 wide angle lenses. Where can I get one? He mentioned something about Max Cohn, but I can't find anything on the net yet (maybe I'm not looking hard enough). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. It's also possible that I was shown the secret handshake and forgot it. I mean after all my first wingsuit jump was almost one year ago and I'm having a hard time remembing what I did this morning. Hey I made 18 wingsuit jumps this weekend out in Eloy (giving me a grand total of 21 to date) and when not making radical turns my ProTrack usually reads averages in the mid to upper 50s. I wouldn't say I'm maxing out my GTi yet, but jumping it alot sure has help me get to know it better. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Hey I wasn't taught any secret Birdman hand shake. The CReW dogs taught me their secret handshake, but not the flockers. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I like this idea. I'm sure it's not going to happen. But it's a great way to celebrate someone's 666th jump. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Ironically my 69th jump was pretty memorable as well. You see I had to bail out of a disabled aircraft (it ran out of fuel) at 5k and I was the 2nd to last person to exit. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Has anyone else tried to mark their 666th jump in a special way? I mean it's only once in a life time when we hit the magical 666 (the devil made me do it) jump number. Weather permitting, I will be doing my 666th jump this coming weekend and it would be nice to do something different (of course a lot will depend on who's around the DZ the day I make this jump). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. Forgive me as I do not have the time to read this entire thread. But I have a simple question for you. Who's life to do want to live? Yours or your fathers? You say that you father is scared of flying. Well could that be because he has little to no knowledge about flight? Any time we venture into the skies, we will die if we don't return back to earth the way the engineers intended our mode of transporation to be used. But when rules are followed, flight can be experienced and being in the air is a gift that few people get to experience. Skydiving is dangerous and we could all very well die on our next jumps. But in life people die every day, period. It's something that will happen to all of us. It could happen to me when I go to lunch today. You and likely your father need to come to grips with your mortality. The sooner people do this, the sooner they can get out there and experience life. Life is not going to work during the day, then going home at night and watching the latest reality TV show. Do you want to arrive at death with an unused body with no experiences? Or do you want to arrive at the pearly gates with a totally worn out body and proclaim "wow what a wild ride"? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. High: Just getting back from a fun 4 day weekend at Holly's DZ (Skydive Arizona in Eloy). Low: Know that 365 days ago, an angel was taken from us. Blue Skies Back Death Holly ... and don't forget to party like a rock star in heaven for us. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. Yup single male, no kids and taking applications for a position which would be nice to fill, but I'm not despirate to fill it. She doesn't have to be a jumper, she only needs to tolerate my addiction. But being a jumper is obviously a bonus. Also, she doesn't have to be a bad ass freeflier. But it would be a total cool if she was. Anyone interested in applying for the position? Any ideas? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Yup ... the same ... and yes he is a pretty darn good freeflier. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. For those of you who know Trevor Mills (his screen name is Trevor here on DZ.COM), he made his 2000th jump yesterday in Eloy. Congrats dude and thanks for the jumps. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. 0:29:0 I just got back a few hours ago from a four day long weekend in Eloy. I made 29 jumps in total (not too shaby considering we got winded out before the end of the jump day on 3 of the 4 days I was there). 18 of those jumps were wingsuit jumps as I was learning to fly my new suit (but not a beer violation as I jumped it twice before this weekend) and the other 11 were freefly jumps. I could have sworn I made more freefly jumps but I didn't. But thanks to Gillian Parker, a.k.a Fozcheck (who is a total sweet heart), I have a new problem (or should I say project) to work on concerning my freeflying. Historically I've guess I've had a case of the pizza hands when freeflying head down and I really need to use my legs more. Also, many thanks must go out to Trevor (who made his 2000th yesterday) for jumping with me several times. And I also made a wingsuit jump with GreyBeard and a freefly jump (or was that freeflop ) with Amazon. I never did get to see/jump with the person I went down there to see (this friend was up in potato land jumping off of a certain legal span), but another good friend (FreeFlyHol partying in heaven like a rock star) was in my heart and mind. And all in all, it was a weekend I will never forget. Many thanks to the people of Skydive Arizona. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. Yes today is the anniversary of a very sad day for many many people. Blue Skies Black Death Holly ... we loved the love you shared with us ... even if it was too brief ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. He who dies with the most toys ... still dies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. She isn't thinking of retiring after 99 jumps I hope. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Have fun and be safe. I'll be in Eloy tomorrow. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. That sucks and as a Canadian it pisses me off. Then again, there's a lot of people in Quebec (Remi is NOT one of them), who piss me off and it was no accident that I left the province which I grew up in (Quebec) back in '90. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. Is she a Canadian girl, or did she just fall in love with BC's beauty when it's not raining. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Go Preds!!! I'm a little bummed my first love, the Montreal Canadiens are in trouble in their series against the hated Bruins. They had a chance to tie things up, but choked and choked bad in OT. Oh well ... no biggie ... I'll be jumping in Eloy two days from now. Go Preds!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. The Red Wings silly ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Gotta cheer for the under dog here. Especially seeing as the Dead Things are involved. Go Preds!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. 631 jumps in the last 21 months. Hmmm ... not the most addicted out there, but I think I've been hit pretty bad. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
