Ah to be a fly on the wall during the latest White House photo shoot: "OK let's get this shoot on the road. Get the principal in here! Ah, there you are, President Trump. Sit right there at the head of the table, sir. Great. Josephine! Let's get makeup in here. He definitely needs some . . uh . . right there." "OK on it." "OK get the talent in! You guys sit over there. Military types over there. Wait - that guy in the green. Can we swap him out for someone with more badges and stuff on him?" "On it." "OK, great. Hmm. This looks like a board meeting or something. Jerry, can we get some props in here? Some tech stuff. I want it to look like a Mission: Impossible scene." "Let me check . . . OK got some laptops and Ethernet cables here. Let me . . ." "Better, better. But not just yellow cables. Do you have any orange or red, for drama?" "Yeah, got some red cables here. You want me to connect them to anything?" "Well, of course, connect em up." "Uh - I don't have really anything here to connect them to. I can go to the van and get . . ." "Don't bother, no one will really care. Just scatter them around. OK, great. Let's try a few shots. Look over here guys! OK, one, two . . . no, Mr. President, please don't hold up your book. I don't think that sets the right tone. Let's try it again. One, two . . . OK, too much smiling. Remember, we just blew someone up! Look serious!" "Well, he blew himself up . . . " "Whatever, I think we want a more serious approach here. Let's try this again. One . . . wait, where did that guy come from?" "Jared, GET OUT!" "OK, guys, let's try again. Serious faces here. One, two, three - I think we got it!"

The White House photographer (Shealah Craighead) was put on a short leash within a week of him being in office. This is typical of the rigidly posed pictures she's allowed to take.

Win 10 Photos, like most other editors, will re-encode and reduce bitrate of your file. The only real deal is Avidemux. It navigates by key frames and simply splices the video, no re-encoding done, simply copies a part of the file. I'm using it to cut storage space for tandem and aff videos. True, the interface is a bit awkward, but if you get the hang of it it's almost as fast as just copying the file. That fast. Here are a few tips: - for mp4 videos (gopro) select MP4 Muxer under Output Format on the left side, and then go to Edit in the menu bar and press "Save current setting by default", to make that setting stick. - use Ctrl+O to open a directory. It remembers the path. For instance, use it to open a file on your card reader, and next time you plug in your card, just press Ctrl+O to open the card directory and open the video straight in Avidemux without copying it locally. - use Ctrl+left/right to navigate key frames. These are the places where you can cut your video from. - press Ctrl+PgUp/PgDn to set the begin/end markers. - press Ctrl+S to save the trimmed file on your PC. It will spend no time re-encoding, all the time needed is to write to disk the trimmed file. It again remembers the path. This way you can use Avidemux to get a trimmed version of your video quicker than most users will take to just copy the original file to their computer.

Exactly right. That was so powerful and to be honest, it caught me off guard. They've been so effective at keeping him out of situations where he isn't set up to look as unpopular as he is, I hadn't even noticed it until he showed his ass in an event like that. It gave me goosebumps to see that. In a good and a bad way. Even though I've been on guard against all the propaganda being pumped out of this White House, I fell prey to forgetting just how deeply unpopular he is. They've done an excellent job at staging everything to make it look like he has more support than he does. There - I've praised something this Administration has done well.

Trump said. “He didn’t die a hero. He died a coward.” Says Cadet bone spurs, great American coward.

If the question is why someone would support Hillary Clinton then the answer is that despite decades of investigations into her run by her political opponents they've never found her guilty of wrong doing. So, it's then not a matter of that person not being caught it's a matter of that person being exonerated.

Of course Trump has had Barr flying around the world trying to convince people to manufacture dirt on those same intelligence services.... If the dude is dead. Great. But that doesn't mean there can't be issues. Like telling the Russians first. Like complicating matters by withdrawing from Syria over tweet. Like the juvenile comments during a press conference. etc etc.

Yep, I can see how you'd think that. Again, reality is different - but why get all stuck up on reality when a much more palatable spin is available on a blog?

I believe it was to protect the health insurance industry and to prevent poor people from receiving medical care that they don't deserve because they can't pay for it.

Are you asking because it was a waste of money or because they didn't investigate the right things? She's clean. She didn't orchestrate a deal with Uranium One, she didn't seek to compromise national security with her server, she didn't create the security situation in Benghazi. I'll leave out the more salacious accusations.

I have an update from Jimmy's daughter (October 19th). She said he is making great progress. He is eating solid food now and his trach is out. He is able to walk with the help of a walker. He is anxious to leave the hospital and go home but he still needs some rehab. They are hoping he can head to rehab next week!

It was way slow before that, too. There are probably a few who left because of the redesign, but not a lot. I’m not impressed, but forums as a whole might be fading as a means of discussion, which is a shame Having a really old platform, out of support and with no source (or without the manpower to support that old a platform) is much more expensive. It’s not just a matter of letting it run. It has to interact with the rest of the programming world, which isn’t necessarily backward-compatible. Kind of like trying to drive a model T on the freeway. Wendy P.

I participate in FB because there is a lot of action there. But it is far inferior to what is available right here. FB content is like a vapour.
