Correct - I have not read or heard of a watch being mention - if so I have 3 or 4 I will sell for the right price!

The right price for Duane's watches is market price. If you can prove Duane was Cooper and can prove you have the watch worn during the skyjack it is worth a LOT. Don't sell too soon Jo. ;)

Look how much some idiots pay for a decayed Cooper twenty.

I got my chuckle for the day with that one. There is an old rectangular watch that disappeared - I haven't seen it since I had a visitor - keep thinking I just misplaced it, but it was old and I probably junked it.

I think there is a good chance that Marla wasn't consciously lying. She was trying to revive childhood memories, read dropzone posts and other published Cooper info and had an interest in proving LDC was DBC. Its easy to see how wishful thinking may have induced false memories about the comics. She just didn't impress me as a cynical liar. Obviously you have a different opinion.

Did she really get a "fat advance" from a publisher? How much would be typical?

Again I like the overview, but I'm curious where some of your non-attributed points came from. It will take more time than I have right now to go line by line, but some of this - including very specific items that he addressed from the fbi files -- is contradicted by what ckret has posted in the past.
Off the top of my head, (memory here, so I might be wrong) states no one mentioned a watch, don't think the briefcase was referred to a "Cloth" briefcase, small paper sack (not sure if color was ever mentioned), use of the word interphone - I thought that was never actually found in the files - can't remember if that changed, no evidence that he had any communication about the positioning of the fuel trucks. There was only one note that he wrote and that was the initial one, Like I said I could be wrong - I'll have to look some of the stuff up, but it always come back to what/who to believe. Some of ckret's posts were his theory based on what was in the files, but also a lot of stuff, so he said, came directly from the files.

Never heard about the bennies eta: from ckret that I remember

Thanks, Smoke - getting questions like this is why I post my drafts here - to help refine them.

Here's what I have:

1. Bennies are specifically mentioned in Skyjack, and Tosaw says that DB C had "pills" to keep the crew awake.

2. Watch? Hmmmm. I gotta go look for that one.

3. Cloth briefcase. Gotta go look for that one, too. But I think I read about it on the DZ first.

4. Small paper sack. The reference is proably in the same file with # 2 & 3.

5. Use of the word "interphone" is specifically mentioned in Tosaw and Gray.

6. Yes, the method of deploying the aft stairs seems to be unknown to Cooper, which is in stark contrast to what he did know. It is as if he was a commando familiar with jumping out of a 727 but not with preparing the ship for the operation.

How would the crew have known this? Did Cooper inform them? Hard to imagine that they would voluntarily swallow anything Cooper gave them. Lets assume for the sake of argument that the bennies story is true.

Benzedrine has been used by military aircrews since WW2 to fight fatigue. It is still going on but has become very controversial.

Farf, did the USAF give you bennies?

http://books.google.com/books?ei=VxcRUaTlEePmiwLiv4Bo&output=html_text&q=benzedrine+and+military+pilots&btnG=

Could this be another clue that Cooper had been involved in military aviation?

Does it contradict the theory that he planned to exit very shortly after takeoff? Why would he be expecting serious crew fatigue? If he was expecting a long night in the plane why would he be drinking alcohol?

Note on the flight plan attached: It's only a portion of the document. The full size version is too big to upload to DZ. Shows the flight stopping at Shemya, then going on west, probably to Tokyo. I cut out a section so Kenny's name and the date would be visible. Don't ask me what the numbers mean. I'm not a pilot and I don't have any idea.

Blevins, The piece of paper you posted in NOT a flight plan. This same piece of paper was discussed to death on this thread about a year or so ago.

At best, they are some notations made by the flight navigator (and/or the dispatcher) on the weather expected enroute, an estimate of the flight's progress, and a notation of the crew members names including the cabin crew. It is something the navigator and/or dispatcher would use in pre-flight planning.

A flight plan is a "formal" document that the flight crew and dispatcher would file with the FAA and would include such things as navigational facilities used, reporting points, altitudes requested, flight times, etc., etc..

During the actual flight, the flight navigator would use a flight log form to keep track of the aircraft's position and a number of other things that relate to navigation.

But again, that is NOT a flight plan!

We covered this before - ad nauseum, as you point
out.

The only thing NEW - is the realisation that the only
thing that matters to Mr. Blevins is 'the sounds of his
own voice'. He will continue to post and use the same
tired old crap until the last drop of blood has been
drained from Dropzone (or anywhere else); until at
length only Jo Weber, Blevins, and 377, and a few
onlookers are here ... still posting the same old crap
until their computers wear out or their electricity is cut
off ... or they die ... long after everyone else is gone.

That is just a fact.

These people have a personal agenda which
transcends everyone and everything else.

The only thing that matters is: are these people being
entertained. If they are then everything is right with
the world, as they define and control it.

Since when is noting reality 'throwing stones' ?

How many times do we cover the same exact thing
5000 times, because of the same posters? How many
pairs of shoes do we wear out standing in one place
shuffling on the same spot?

Looks kind-of crazy :S to me! Funny, yes.
Entertaining to pathologicals ?

Here! Stare at this! Move it back and forth and up and

Georger is right again (with the exception of the reference to 377).

Blevins and Jo Weber's constant repeating of the same nonsense is moving the entropy meter on this thread to very near 100%. And that means the possibility of doing something worthwhile here on the Cooper hijacking is rapidly approaching zero.

Well Robert I could say the same thing about your postings!
AT least I don't REPEAT and REPEAT the same story like Blevins does.

Note I interject things regarding dates and specifics as they are addressed by the thread. That is my right to do so. At least the information I provide is not hear say like some others....Blevins and you and many others are no more than echos and one can "expect" what your reply would be to any given subject.

Bruce was asking for feed back and I merely answered with thing I DO KNOW. It is evident U do not read my posts nor why I even make a statement. Do not spend valuable band width making an apology - just note I respond to the posting made. U might notice I have revealed things I have sat on...for a long long time.

Which by the way was something I came her to tell tonight - NOT to have to DEFEND MYSELF FROM YOUR POSTINGS! I continue and will continue to separate myth from fact as there are those who post here who do NOT know the difference. HOW some of them arrive at the deductions they do - makes one think - DO they actually READ the thread? Do they actually absorb what has been said? Have they read the articles and books and watched the programs about Cooper?

Location: Green Jacket Lounge
Augusta, Georgia
.

:)
The couples exchange a few drinks and the girls decide they had to leave and the 2 guys escort them to their car. Duane and the young man had asked them to come up to the room for a drink, but they declined.

As the two girls are pulling their vehicle to a stop at the entrance of the parking lot. The older of the 2 - says "Watch This"!

Then the oldest (and perhaps the drunkest of the two IDIOTS) runs toward the front end of the car and mounts the hood of the vehicle in a leap with his arms spread wide open and holds on to the ledge of the front window where the wipers are and cries with his face pressed upon the windshield " Don't leave, Please, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE - PLEasseee!"

:DThe guy didn't tell me the REST of the story!

Yr. 1973.

I have a few more like that to tell if anyone is interested. I laugh and yet shudder to think of a grown man spread out upon the hood of car - Pressing his face against the windshield.

I would never have fathomed or pictured anyone doing such a thing even if he was a trained acobat and/or just stupidly drunk!

Yikes! to mount the hood of a car in that manner with the possibility of the car moving forward - that is risk taking.

Duane was born in 1924 so he was 48

I had been told the story yrs ago by the old friend, but I just did NOT really listen - I was looking for clues into Duane's past - not drunken escapades. Today I took the time to listen as this was one of the few times he contacted me purely to tell me "things" about his memories of Duane.

1. I'm going with Bennies.
2. Can't find anything on the watch, so I'm dropping it.
3. Sack is from Ckret and a DZ post a few years back.
4. Cloth briefcase is still up for grabs, so to speak...
5. Inability to open aft stairs is noted and included in latest draft.
6. Staying with interphone and airstairs.

Thanks to all.

Another Story the old friend told me today.

Both of the guys worked for the same insurance company. The leads for the insurance agents were obtained through lending institutions. This was a regional meeting and the company presented its NEW system to be incorporated by the agents regarding the contact manner.

In the past the leads were called, you identified yourself and why you were calling...and attempted to set an appt to go to their home and explain the coverage available. The new requirement would be that each door was knocked on and no phone appointments.

Duane got up and went to the back of the room and he was walking around like a caged animal - with the irritation growing by the moment. Duane had a way of using his facial expression when he was agitated.

The speaker asked if any of the agents would liike to share their opinion of this new policy.

Duane SWAGGERED to the front of the podium (he was the top producer). He turned his back and bent over - made a large FART and then swaggered out of the room!

This would be the SAME company Duane would retire from in 1988, but not until after he left them 2 or 3 times...the same company from whom he was granted the Manager of the Yr award - the yr he was to go out on disability.
He left NOT one dry eye in the room as he did NOT take credit for his own accomplishments, but to his staff and his wife.

I had heard the story before that night in St Croix, but for some reason just forgot about it.

How could ONE forget that story?

Do you not know that DNA not matching with LD Cooper was known before Marla's name became public?

Do you not know that Marla did not torpedo Geoff's book sales? Skyjack did not appear on the NYT best seller list until August 28, 2011 -- four weeks after Marla became public.

You are free to disagree with Marla, but your irrational ravings just make you look silly.

Bruce,

You refer to an "interphone" radio. The interphone isn't a radio. It's a wired intercom connecting the cabin to the cockpit.

Does anyone remember what Marla said about LD taking skydiving lessons? Was that claim ever verified?

Robert, I read her Facebook posts and yes, some are a bit snarky and perhaps self absorbed. That still doesn't prove she was consciously lieing about things such as the Dan Cooper comics.

I don't think LD was DBC. I just wonder if Marla had a sincere belief that he was.

The tie-tanium could be a very significant clue. Why does it get so little attention? Sailshaw says Tom Kaye is wrong about only alloyed Ti being used on aircraft. Sailshaw says pure titanium was flame sprayed onto the leading edges of high speed aircraft wings and fins.

To Robert99 and Georger:

Excuse me - I have posted LOTS of new things lately so take you beef else where. What's wrong Georger - you don't seem to have ANYTHING new to offer. I had never posted Duane's SS records and I didn't see you even note anything nor did I expect you to.

Exactly what is there U 2 want to discuss that I might be interfering with? Certainly haven't seen either one of you introduce anything productive in a long long time.

What I have been throwing out is new and old - some of what I am telling was never made public before. So what is your BEEF?

Neither one of you seem to have anything to offer. At least Robert99 has been nice, but Georger you keep bringing my name up with Blevins - sorry we are two different individuals and I have NEVER bought into Blevins subject.

In fact I received a long call today from someone about Blevins and what the man said was NOT very kind...he had seen the program Blevins made - and it just rubbed him the wrong way. I asked him where he had been and what he had been doing because all you do is Key in D.B.Cooper and Blevins has himself all over the searches.

Plus NO one seemed interested in the fact that they type of Titanium you guys referred to was manufactured in Denver and used in Golf Clubs. Custom made Golf Clubs would expose the tie to the substance. Why does Georger NOT attack that?

In a few months everyone will say GOODBYE to Cooper. So you guys need to field your questions NOW, but do NOT expect the FBI to provide U with any info.

In my opinion Marla damaged the Cooper case to the breaking point and now the CASE is BEING CLOSED! Period - as unsolved.
There is NO one to prosecute!
THere is NO proof to put any suspect on the plane. Galen knows this - why the HELL do you think he has been so closed mouth?

He is trying to make HAY with what is left and his privey to the FBI was NOT the right thing for the FBI to do. ALL of the files need to be made PUBLIC to EVERYONE and not a SELECT few....especially someone focused on ONE subject.

How the FBI handled this old and unusual case I don't think was right, but in their defense how many unsolved skyjackings are there? This case was a first all the way around.

If the general public was privey to some of the things the FBI sat on - knowningly or unknowlingly this case could have been solved many yrs ago. Now it is he said, she said, this was and no this was. After 40 yrs so many of the facts are still unknown and because of case agents being young and not grasping the old mind set - a lot of things went unexplored and ignored.

How can a man VANISH without leaving ONE clue behind. The FBI has NOT presented ALL of the things they should have. One agent has said it will take a 20 to put a suspect on the plane, but I think there is more than that which will put the right Cooper on the plane. It will take an encitefully and long study of everything the FBI has - that will take another 40 yrs!

If the CREW had been brought together and their recitations as given to the FBI in the first 10 yrs had been analyzed - Cooper would have been discovered. There is SUCH a THING as KEEPING TOO MUCH information private.

There is MORE than a 20 that will put Cooper on that plane and I will believe that till the day I die.
I know who Cooper was and I just do not understand why others do not get it. I am the one who lived with the man and I know how he lived his life.

I still think MOUSE (Billy) could put Weber on that plane - but, did the person who lost him think they left him someplace else and perhaps MOUSE was never listed as something missing from the plane.

The witnesses have NEVER seen the items I have presented about Cooper - and NO one but myself has seen MOUSE.

Yea, 377 it is your fault I am on the MOUSE kick again. I just want to get WELL enough to go see Tina and Florence and to Spokane - and I want to see the actually verbage given to the artist by Tina and Alice and Florence. I want to be around when I am vindicated - I want to be alive when someone finally says - YEA, that is it! I want vindication - because I know with all of MY HEART and SOUL that Duane was Cooper or connected to him.

I have NOT got enough time or the money to finish this - and it is NOT fair - IT IS NOT FAIR at ALL and it is NOT fair I have to deal with a lot of JERKS who are out there who will profit off of this or to make a name for themselves with things they KNOW are NOT true.

After all has been done and said - we know KC and DL were not Cooper and NONE of you nor the FBI has been able to present a suspect that holds up. Duane Weber has been the only REAL suspect the FBI has EVER had!

I believe even they could acknowledge this. I never understood why the agent of record over the yrs DID not look at the file on WEBER and note the scar on his hand. One would think the prisons would have made pictures of identifing scars in those days.

The Folsom/SanQuentin file specifically describes the scar on his hand.

I can pull that RIGHT off of the file - but too tired to do so tonight. You will note my posts are getting just a little more direct - I have to put this stuff out there or it will be buried for ever by the WANNABES and those who only want to profit thru Cooper - these are NOT GENUINE people who really care that their actions have only muddied the waters and kept the case from actually being solved.

I have told about some of the things DUANE did - with his friends - STRANGE things, ODD things. Weber did NOT fit any specific profile - he was unique and regardless of whatever other confessions someone might be able to conjure up - Weber was DAN COOPER! I leave what I have said in this thread as my witness to the Creator and to the public that there has been no lies told on my part and when Weber's life is taken as a whole there is only one conclusion.
Weber was who he said he was!

Well, My statement was CASE will be CLOSED as UNSOLVED!

See what I mean - you change things to MAKE them work for you. YOU KNOW KC WAS NEVER A SUSPECT, BUT YOU CONTINUE ON AND ON THE MAKE YOUR CASE - JUST ENCASE AND YOU HAVE NO CASE!
