They will put the craziest MF in there they can find. And if Trump wins the election, there will be mass resignations across many agencies. That used to get a Prez to a point of resignation, maybe impeachment, but Trump and the GOP are HOPING for this as part of the strategy of putting the craziest Trump loyalists in power.... removing the last checks and balances in the system. There would not even be enforcement of a Supreme Court ruling if they ruled against Trump. McConnell leaving is another loss of that check and balance. one less brick in the wall. Edit...That decision will not be made until after the election. If Trump becomes POTUS again his endorsement will probably be the deciding factor and he is known to favour Rick Scott. . If Biden wins it will probably go to one of the current more senior leaders. The most important thing is will he (and it will be a he) be the majority or the minority leader.
