IMO it will take a bi-partisan effort. Jerry Baumchen

And of course because it's human nature go too far in the other direction.

Be friendly to business while advancing the environmental agenda. Protect the trump voters that lose their jobs because of shifting employment dynamics.Hold back on those that want the government to be all and do all. Recognize that republicans will re-organize, find new leaders and push back. Make truth, science, ideals, integrity and engagement with the world. The new great America. Clinton was about as business friendly as they come (and indeed was attacked for that; "in the pockets of Big X" was a common refrain.) The only reason that democrats seem extremist is that republicans have moved so far to the right that there's a huge gap between the two parties. Keep in mind that, today, Reagan would have been labeled a foreigner-loving socialist by the right wing.

I thought the date was written in stone ? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-news-live-us-update-2020-election-coronavirus-latest-twitter-today-a9645266.html Donald Trump has suggested for the first time that 2020's presidential election could be postponed amid the coronavirus pandemic, because he says - without evidence - that a nationwide mail-in ballot system would create "the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history." Those comments come amid worsening economic figures showing that the US economy shrank by 32.9 per cent between April and June, making it the sharpest contraction since the second world war. But that’s only the election date. There doesn’t appear a mechanism to change the inauguration date.
