I am correct about the whining he does. pretty much every single day he is whining about the Russia investigation. You do follow his twitter feed no?

I may be exaggerating the cringing that the GOP is doing - but the exodus of his staff would support that they are at least concerned, cringing, unable to comprehend, unable to comply, unable to work with... etc.

And certainly the country as a whole is cringing when orange-man speaks. his 40-41% approval rating is not actually a majority of americans..... I expect the 53-58% disapproval is a plebiscite on the 'cringing' majority.

You must have missed the report where it shows the trumps approval rating is higher at this point in his presidency than Obamas was go figure

Which has nothing to do with the validity of my comments about his whining or the factual evidence I provided of such whining. Nice attempts at a distraction. You sound more and more like Trump every day.

While employee after former employee, testifies about everything they know about you. While his former campaign aide, Rick Gates negotiates testifying for the prosecution. in order to abate his own charges. While the forensic accountants examine every Deutsche Bank transaction of the whole family. trump grows more desperate, more paranoid, resulting in an explosion of wild tweets this weekend.

Blaming the Russia probe as the reason for 17 dead children.

"Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign - there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!"

Denying everything he has stated before about Russian meddling.

"I never said Russia did not meddle in the election, I said “it may be Russia, or China or another country or group, or it may be a 400 pound genius sitting in bed and playing with his computer.” The Russian “hoax” was that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia - it never did!"
4:33 AM - 18 Feb 2018

At 4:33 in the morning.

"This might explain why a new poll by USA Today and MediaEthics found Americans split 42 percent to 42 percent over whether Mr. Trump should be removed from office through impeachment. Now, take a moment to digest that bit of information. It’s not even the president’s worst numbers. A similar survey by Public Policy Polling in June pegged the impeach-the-president support at 47 percent. Americans didn’t support the Bill Clinton impeachment in the midst of the Monica Lewinsky scandal with that kind of enthusiasm; an October 1998 Gallup poll pegged the public’s pro-impeachment sentiment at 34 percent, yet the House Judiciary Committee approved articles of impeachment just two months later. The only modern president to record worse numbers than Mr. Trump on the impeachment question? Richard M. Nixon."

All of this during a week when another porn star story came out. While Evangelical Christians doubled down on support, praise for trump and the Lord. His wife Ivanka?
"First lady Melania Trump eschewed the traditional South Lawn couple's walk to Marine One on Friday amid another adultery allegation scandal, opting instead to drive separately ahead of President Donald Trump.
"With her schedule it was easier to meet him on the plane," Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's communications director, said in a statement.

Only a trumpeets or Fox news viewer believes that leaving early to drive to Andrews air force base. Instead of flying direct via Marine One helicopter is "easier".

***>13 Russians indicted for interfering in US Presidential Election

Uh oh. I wonder if any DZ.com posters will never be seen again after this?

It looks like it is all over but the wiping. No collusion on President Trump's part. The bad guys have been identified, but they will never see a court room over here. With the school tragedy it is not even top of the fold news.

Rosenstein has made it clear several times that the "No Americans" is specifically about the indictments towards the 13 Russians and the company, not about the overall investigations.

On target and here is two more stories on how the Russian employees of the Internet Research Agency operated. How trump was the beneficiary and HRC the target.

" Russia allegedly had 80 full-time employees specifically dedicated to its “translator project,” an effort to flood YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and more with pro-Trump, anti-Clinton propaganda. The program’s $1.25-million-a-month budget apparently included incentive bonuses, just shy of naming an Employee of the Month."

And this has been going on for decades
We mess with their elections as well

Obama openly messed with Israel's elections.

Not that this makes what they did was right, no more than what we did was right.

Yesterday Trump said "I never said Russia did not meddle in the election."

Two minutes of Googling uncovered what Trump did in fact say:

"We believe it was the DNC that did the ‘hacking’ as a way to distract from the many issues facing their deeply flawed candidate and failed party leader."

"I notice, anytime anything wrong happens, they like to say the Russians are — she doesn’t know if it’s the Russians doing the hacking. Maybe there is no hacking. But they always blame Russia. "

"I think it’s ridiculous. I think it’s just another excuse. I don’t believe it. I don’t know why, and I think it’s just — you know, they talked about all sorts of things. Every week, it’s another excuse."

And of course: “He said he didn’t meddle — I asked him again. You can only ask so many times. I just asked him again. He said he absolutely did not meddle in our election. He did not do what they are saying he did. Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it. I think he is very insulted by it, which is not a good thing for our country.”

But he didn't really say that, right? :P

Ron and Rush would have been a hoot during the Watergate investigation. When Hunt and Liddy were indicted "See! It's just those two, no-one else!" Porter and Kalmbach "See! They did it all and they were just low level aides, nothing else" Then the Watergate Seven "See! It was just the staff involved, they had the juice to organise it all without Nixon ever knowing!" And then the Smoking Gun tape and Nixon's resignation "That's just a process crime! He was only trying to block the investigation because it was so biased and unfair, you still can't prove he ever did anything wrong to begin with!"

Would have been amazing:D

Trump supporters and Rs in general don't like some things about Trump. But they do like the fact that an R is POTUS. And that is more important than his flaws. As Mitch McConnell said, losers go home, winners make policy. Trump won, and he carried the Rs to majorities in both houses. You can not argue with those facts. As long as their team is making policy they will defend the leader.

If you don't like it do something about it at election time. Don't bother yourself thinking scandal will take care of the problem. No matter what Mueller finds it will not matter in the least. Besides, there is good reason to believe the lap dog Pence would be even worse.
Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.

>Don't bother yourself thinking scandal will take care of the problem.

Scandal is definitely helping. After a weekend of unhinged ranting (and of contradicting both the investigation and his own team) the foreign policy leaders of the US (both democratic and republican) told the world leaders they were working with to ignore Trump. Marginalizing him thus will help limit the damage he does to the reputation of the US - and that's a good thing for the US.

===============================================
Top U.S. officials tell the world to ignore Trump’s tweets

U.S. national security adviser H.R. McMaster said evidence of Russian tampering in the 2016 presidential campaign is 'incontrovertible' on Feb. 17.

By Michael Birnbaum and Griff Witte February 18
WaPo

MUNICH — Amid global anxiety about President Trump’s approach to world affairs, U.S. officials had a message for a gathering of Europe’s foreign policy elite this weekend: Pay no attention to the man tweeting behind the curtain.

U.S. lawmakers — both Democrats and Republicans — and top national security officials in the Trump administration offered the same advice publicly and privately, often clashing with Trump’s Twitter stream: The United States remains staunchly committed to its European allies, is furious with the Kremlin about election interference and isn’t contemplating a preemptive strike on North Korea to halt its nuclear program.

But Trump himself engaged in a running counterpoint to the message, taking aim on social media at his own national security adviser, H.R. McMaster, because he “forgot” on Saturday to tell the Munich Security Conference that the results of the 2016 election weren’t affected by Russian interference, a conclusion that is not supported by U.S. intelligence agencies. They say they will probably never be able to determine whether the Russian involvement swung the election toward Trump.

The determination to ignore Trump’s foreign policy tweets has been bipartisan.

“There is a lot more support for continuing our past policies than it might appear from some of the statements,” Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) told an audience on Sunday that was made up mostly of Europe’s foreign policy elite. “The unanimity comes from those folks who are actually operationalizing policy.”

“The values are the same, the relationships are the same,” said Rep. Michael R. Turner (R-Ohio). “What you do see is this administration willing to put pressure upon the systems.”

I take it this refers to Trump, who is, by his own claims, better at everything than anybody else, needs his ego stroked constantly (as in the inauguration crowd size claim) and knows he can grab women by the genitals because he's a star.

I was referring to posters here in SC. For instance, you are a bit of a mystery. What is your need here as a poster?

I watched the vid clip and was struck by this thought. If President Trump comes through on say 35-40% of his claims he will be a good president. If he produces positive results on 40-50% he will be a great president. If he is successful in 50-60% he will be an absolute winner as the best president in the history of our nation. As Babe Ruth used to say, "It ain't bragging if you can do it."

In business you only have to be successful 6 out of 10 tries to be a winner.
