But, that is how the apoplectic left is portraying it
I find this topic very enlightening
Cause it is easy to see who is interested in the truth
and who only cares about the sound bites and the agenda
if we falter and lose our freedoms,
it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

Quote"Hey. They guy's a redneck. Born that way. What do you expect?"
Nobody said he was born that way.
The show is about a bunch of guys behaving like rednecks. I don't agree with A&E then being upset about one of the characters behaving like a redneck.
There was no talk about hating anybody.

Agreed. It is as silly as "Stunt Junkies" hiring Jeb to host the show because he was a BASE jumper...then firing him for trying to BASE jump the Empire State Building.
I can't figure out why anybody care what this guy thinks

I don't understand it either.

When the head of Chik-fil-A went on an interview and expressed his opinions, he had city legislatures threatening to yank his business permits and shut him down.
There are talk - along the lines of hot air. And I recall, at least for SF, it would be about permitting for a site, not revoking an existing one.
In any event, it would very likely be illegal to do, or again, just bluster. Mayors say a lot of things like that. It didn't speak well for them.

Who?
normissI think his comments about happy, singing blacks not complaining about white people treating them badly while they worked the fields for them to be precisely that.
Racist.
.
Sorry, but in total, and in context it wasn't.

He knew a couple of happy black people pre-welfare. Wow. welfare must be bad for black people.
"I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotton with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. We’re going across the field .... They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’—not a word! ... Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues."

QuoteIn the long run welfare is bad for pretty much everybody.
Yeah, but that's not what he said

QuoteYou cannot be tolerant and intolerant at the same time.
According to quantum theory, you can be tolerant and intolerant at the same time. In fact, if I know where I am, I can't be sure how intolerant I'll be. And people say there's no practical use for theoretical physics.
Carry on.
