It's something you're asked to do, not something you volunteer for. And, if asked, you can turn it down. I'm pretty sure that you can let Sangiro know that you're interested in becoming a moderator, but if you want to use it to play tit-for-tat it's not likely to happen.

The site was for the most part sold to Name Media. But while Name Media owns majority of the site, we at D4DR Media are the still the ones who remain active on the site in regards to moderation, content and pretty much most of the site. Name Media primarily only handles the ads.

For what it's worth the site hasn't changed much at all. While Sangiro's direct involvement in the forums may seem to have gone down a bit, what I do on the site either comes from him or myself. I'm not a Name Media employee ;)
