What type of rig do you jump?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what everyone is jumping it may help me decide what my next purchase is going to be. And what type of Main/Reserve you jump.

Javelin J-3
Main: Flight Concepts 170
Reserve: Firelite 170

Vector3 Micron's
velocity 90/96
Stilletto 107

Pd 113/126 reserve's but would rather have 2 126'2
Flew both landed great but just in case bigger is better with a reserve.

just ditched the 109 -m for a MR 120 I got for almost free.

What I would have if money wasn't a concern.

Mirage <==probably. I'd look at a few others first.
PDR-126
The Main is the toughie... Cobalt Comp65, or Velocity79 unless they finally make one smaller. I'd have to demo a few others.

I like the larger reserve since I'm tired of landing the 109 in no wind. Sinking it into a back yard sucks.

Action Air should becoming out with a new rig at some point. I'm really looking forward to that one since I've snuck a peak at a Proto. No Idea when/if it will be released.

Most people who don't jump super dinky mains have reserves that are at least a few square feet smaller than their main. That's what the majority of US built rigs are sized for.

Oh well didnt know that. Kickass thanx Skybytch learn something new everyday.

Javelin J1, Safire 150, Raven 150. Bought it used, there are plenty of others I'd've bought for a good price, too.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Javelin J2
Main: Triathlon 160
Res: Swift Plus 175

May I suggest that you check some very well written reviews in dz.com's "Gear" area. I browse through there just to wet the appetite from time to time (for when I make an "all new" purchase) ;)

So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!
