Broken tree branches littering the streets of Denver and taking out power to homes everywhere, including my dad's house for two days. Sunday I took my mom to Brunch at a nice restaurant and got a card and books for my step-mom. No jumping.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. Zenister 0 #55 May 12, 2003 0:6:1 Watched andy & lukas play with a para-glider and a 4 wheeler while we were waiting for the clouds to clear. talk about flat turns! can you say 360* spirals under a hundred feet??1st time landing waaay "off" the dz, right along with everyone else. in a nice large field a few miles from the usual landing area. lots of kids playing baseball in the field next our landing area ran over to talk and ask questions (un?)fortunately the skies cleared over Kapowsin Field so we landed at the usual spot for the rest of the loads. Its a bit of a ride back to the DZ but a great alternate landing area. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. Jason Harris of the GK 8-way team got married Saturday, so they held the reception/party at Aviators. It was pretty nuts. My fine idea was to have Harley drags down the runway at about 10:00 pm. Four abreast, idling on "the 4", we took off. I blistered everybody's ass bad on The RedBone Express, but alas, Gene Paul was not impressed. He chased us down in his truck and hollered at us. pd190 0 #65 May 12, 2003 0:7:0 It was a beautiful weekend on the beach. Winds on Saturday were really nice and got 5 in. Did some coaching work and a tandem vid for a good friends wife. She went from "Hell no I won't jump!" - "Maybe when it warms up."- "Okay, let's do it." A couple of guys came down from CSS and did some beach jumps. I missed out due to coaching. Winds were good on the beach and the sun bathers (chickas in bikini's) loved it. Got two on Sunday (HnP's) before the winds started kickin' up. Already looking forward to next weekend. I was convinced there was going to be no jumping. 2 Hours later, the skies had cleared and I got 3 jumps in. On nice 2 way belly and two, even nicer, 2-way sit jumps.
