skybytch 259 #6 May 2, 2004 I dunno... 6 or 7? 45 miles an hour most of the way, one traffic signal, one set of train tracks to cross... averages about 10 minutes.
bertusgeert 1 #7 May 2, 2004 1136 miles from what I consider my home DZ. 11 traffic signals 7 turns, including out of my d.way, and into the dz. My current substitute DZ is 47 miles away 4 traffic signals 5 turns --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!

Flyer2Diver 0 #12 May 3, 2004 90.63 miles (at least according to MapQuest) - fortunately most of it is highway, and the traffic isn't usually that bad._______________________________ 30005KT 10SM SKC 23/05 A3006

jahk 0 #14 May 3, 2004 I think I'm about 170 miles laterally. Interestingly, I'm more than a mile *up* from the DZ. Yep, I live above pull altitude. And have the hemoglobin to prove it. nael 0 #16 May 3, 2004 About an hour and 15 minutes if I go straight there and dont pick up friends on the way. I'll get the number of km's tomorrow - I am taking the day off work to jump, cant wait. Went out there yesterday but it was so windy most of the experienced jumpers werent even jumping, so I had no chance, but I spent the day learning to pack, so now my hands/arms and even legs are sore from packing again and again and again, but I am confident with it now! Unstable 8 #20 May 3, 2004 Exactly 28.4 miles from my driveway to the parking area of Kansas State University Parachute Club. I didn't measure it to the tenth of a mile, but Skydive Kansas is 75 miles from my doorstep or 88 miles another way, and the 88 mile drive is always faster...=========Shaun ==========
