Brian425 0 #1 July 17, 2006 I heard about a skydiver with about 1,000 jumps. He had never been in a plane that landed. From what I heard, he was a little nervous coming in to land. Squeak 17 #2 July 17, 2006 I've flown commercial, but I'm not a fan of it. FlyinseivLP2 0 #3 July 17, 2006 I hate to fly. I have flown commercial but still don't like it. I have almost 3,000 skydives and one of the scariest experiences happened landing on one of the 4 or 5 loads I have rode the plane down.
selbbub78 0 #4 July 17, 2006 I absolutly HATE landing in Planes. Scares the heck out of me. I never felt that way until after I started jumping. Of course, I still do it, but I seriouslly wish I could just jump out instead! matt1215 0 #6 July 17, 2006 I hate landing with planes. I have trouble getting on a plane without a few drinks. I took 2 Ambien last year on my 12-hour flight back to the US from Korea, washed them down with some wine. I remember eating dinner 30 minutes into the flight and the stewardess rousting me at the gate
 Bolas 5 #7 July 17, 2006 Having your first plan ride be a skydive is kinda cool. Johnsisland 0 #23 July 18, 2006 I really don't like little planes's. My uncle was a capt. for a major airline, and flew little ones for fun. All I can remember is he crashed the little one's three or four times that I know about. His last crash screwed up his ankle, and he didn't get his medical after that. He started out as a mechanic, and became a capt. Did all the work on his own planes, and looking back, I am betting his planes should not have been in the air. My Dad talks about gauges hanging from the dash in his Cessna, the one time he rode with him. Maybe that's why I like the Otter more than the Cessna? Have to think my reasoning isn't the best, I tend to trust my DZ's maintenace. But I never said my reasoning, in this matter, makes sense. JArch? I can arch just fine with my back to the ground. wildfan75 1 #24 July 18, 2006 I am absolutely terrified of flying, commercial or the 182's we jump at my dz. I can handle the 182's because of the fact that I don't have to land in them...except one time. Friday Night, Me (still a student) to everyone at the dz: "You will never, ever, never, ever see me land in the plane. Ever!" Saturday Morning: I have to land with the plane as the winds picked up while we were in the air. Which probably wouldn't have been so bad but we started to split one of the tires on take off and it was really windy so we were getting thrown around. Luckily I didn't know about the tire until we landed and were at the hanger, otherwise, I would have probably full out hypervenilated, rather than the mild hypervenilation that I experienced. Lesson: Never say never, ever, never, ever!
