sunshine 2 #26 January 25, 2007 QuoteEegad. Yeah. It makes me sad just reading that. You are a strong one, Sunny Sunshine. I like you for that I'm sad that she's gone, but i can honestly say i loved the way they honored her at her funeral. Just knowing my sister made such an impact on so many people in her community makes me sooo proud. Since she was a police officer, the media was there taking pics and were nice enough to give me a copy of all their pics. I don't normally share them, but i thought this one was appropriate. The procession from the church to the cemetery was about 8 miles and the streets were lined with people. Some holding flags, some with their hands over their hearts. Just an amazing thing to see the love and support. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

waltappel 1 #29 January 25, 2007 If I'm really in the mood for a sad song, Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" usually does a really fine job of ripping my heart out. Try listening to it while reading the lyrics. On second thought, *don't*. Quote Turn down the lights, turn down the bed Turn down these voices inside my head Lay down with me, tell me no lies Just hold me close, don't patronize - don't patronize me Chorus: cause I cant make you love me if you dont You cant make your heart feel something it wont Here in the dark, in these lonely hours I will lay down my heart and Ill feel the power But you won't, no you won't cause I cant make you love me, if you dont Ill close my eyes, then I won't see The love you dont feel when youre holding me Morning will come and I'll do whats right Just give me till then to give up this fight And I will give up this fight Chorus: cause I can't make you love me if you don't You can't make your heart feel something it wont Here in the dark, in these lonely hours I will lay down my heart and Ill feel the power But you won't, no you won't cause I can't make you love me, if you don't Walt
BillyVance 34 #30 January 25, 2007 QuoteAny Irish folk music makes me emotional--it reminds me of my late Grandfather (100% Irish), who I miss terribly. I was promoted to Captain the day after he died. Didn't cry at the funeral, but 8 Months later at the Luxor Casino's irish pub, a folk band brought me to tears, and I finally accepted the fact that he was gone, and was able to finally mourn. Peej 0 #41 January 25, 2007 Boys don't cry by the The Cure I managed to screw up a pretty sweet relationship with someone really special and just after we broke up this song came on while i was shuffling through some music. The lyrics about pushing her too far pretty much describe what i did... I would say I'm sorry If I thought that it would change your mind But I know that this time I have said too much Been too unkind I try to laugh about it Cover it all up with lies I try and laugh about it Hiding the tears in my eyes Because boys don't cry Boys don't cry I would break down at your feet And beg forgiveness Plead with you But I know that it's too late And now there's nothing I can do So I try to laugh about it Cover it all up with lies I try to laugh about it Hiding the tears in my eyes Because boys don't cry I would tell you That I loved you If I thought that you would stay But I know that it's no use That you've already Gone away Misjudged your limit Pushed you too far Took you for granted I thought that you needed me more Now I would do most anything To get you back by my side But I just keep on laughing Hiding the tears in my eyes Because boys don't cry Boys don't cry Boys don't cry Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
