ACMESkydiver 0 #1 January 24, 2007 ? I'm listening to one right now. No details, it's kinda personal...but what songs make you cry/feel some strong emotions? Another one is 'Calling All Angels'...I don't know why but it hits me in the heart.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. gonzalesna 0 #2 January 24, 2007 Strange as it may sound, "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor gets a tear welling up in my eye. A friend of mine named Tony died while I was in high school and that was deemed his song since we all called him "Tony the Tiger." Hence the Tony the Tiger on my back. (See pic)Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie. ExAFO 0 #9 January 25, 2007 Any Irish folk music makes me emotional--it reminds me of my late Grandfather (100% Irish), who I miss terribly. I was promoted to Captain the day after he died. Didn't cry at the funeral, but 8 Months later at the Luxor Casino's irish pub, a folk band brought me to tears, and I finally accepted the fact that he was gone, and was able to finally mourn.Illinois needs a CCW Law. muff528 3 #10 January 25, 2007 I'm always touched by that tender love ballad, "Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida". Brings back memories. Sometimes I get weepy listening to "Smoke on the Water", especially when the Leslie's kick in. (Hmmm......I haven't bought an album in a long time. I wonder where the nearest record shop is?) Slappie 9 #12 January 25, 2007 album: "Reign In Blood" (1986) Slayer Raining Blood Trapped in purgatory A lifeless object, alive Awaiting reprisal Death will be their acquisition The sky is turning red Return to power draws near Fall into me, the sky's crimson tears Abolish the rules made of stone Pierced from below, souls of my treacherous past Betrayed by many, now ornaments dripping above Awaiting the hour of reprisal Your time slips away Raining blood From a lacerated sky Bleeding its horror Creating my structure Now I shall reign in blood! sunshine 2 #20 January 25, 2007 Go Rest High On that Mountain by Vince Gill. He perfomed it live at the Whitehouse last year when i was there for my sister's memorial service. He wrote it in honor of his brother that died and for him to sing it live in honor of the fallen police officers was amazing. Amazing Grace on the bagpipes gets to me too. My sister's funeral was quite the spectacle, but she deserved it. The procession was 2 miles long and included 250 police motorcycles, and around 300 squad cars in addition to the freinds/family. Walking to the gravesite while all the officers stood in salute as her casket draped with an American flag went by. I can still hear those bagpipes like it was yesterday. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

MF42 0 #24 January 25, 2007 Though it's over-played nowadays to the point of being cliched... The first time I ever heard Barber's "Adagio for Strings" it was played by a college orchestra in mourning for the sudden loss of their beloved director...and that performance stands out in my mind as the most emotional piece of music I have ever heard. No recording I have ever come across can compare, but the memory still gets me a little misty eyed. Matt
ACMESkydiver 0 #25 January 25, 2007 Tears in Heaven...Star Spangled Banner...Amazing Grace... Yeah, me too. I just had one of those weird flashbacks to such a painful moment when this song came on the radio and it sucked...but in a weird way, it felt kinda good, too? That doesn't make a damn bit of sense...~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
