Shakespeare said:

On speed stars:
"I'll charm the air to give a sound,
While you perform your antic round": Macbeth

On bouncing:
"who would have thought the old man to have had so much blood in him?"
Macbeth

On the frustrations of jumping in England:
"For the rain it raineth every day." Twelfth Night

On buying land for a drop zone:
"Now would I give a thousand furlongs of sea for an acre of barren
ground." The Tempest

After a long day at the DZ:
"Fill all thy bones with aches." The Tempest

On camping at the WFFC:
"O, I have passed a miserable night,
So full of ugly sights, of ghastly dreams." Richard III

On BASE jumping:
"O Hamlet, what a falling-off was there!" Hamlet

On his parachute:
"this most excellent canopy!" Hamlet

On AFF training:
"Nor do not saw the air too much with your hand, thus, but use all gently." Hamlet

On F111 canopies:
"it be made of penetrable stuff." Hamlet

On AFF evaluators:
"For I am nothing, if not critical." Othello

On FAR part 105:
"But, for my own part, it was Greek to me." Julius Caesar

On Nova canopies:
"These things are beyond all use,
And I do fear them." Julius Caesar

On being axed from a big-way:
"This was the most unkindest cut of all." Julius Caesar

On winter jumps in the Midwest:
"The air bites shrewdly; it is very cold." Hamlet

On skygods:
"Since pride must have a fall,-and break the neck" (Richard II)

On freeflyers who want to exit first:
"The ripest fruit first falls." Richard II

On jump plane pilots:
"his virtues will plead like angels, trumpet-tongued, against the deep damnation of his taking-off;" Macbeth

On naked jumps:
"the air nimbly and sweetly recommends itself
unto our gentle senses." Macbeth
...

The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

Eagles may soar but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines--Steven Wright

Not everyone is meant to make a difference but for me the chance to live an ordinary life is not an option

Who poked my smot?

Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride

The six P's:
Proper Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance

Things which do you no good in aviation (or skydiving for that matter):
Altitude above you.
Runway behind you.
Fuel in the truck.
A navigator.
Half a second ago.
Approach plates in the car.
The airspeed you don't have.

Being deep in the beeps is not the place to learn EPs.

I like pretty much all BASE/Flying/Skydiving quotes, save 2, the perfectly good airplanes one, and that goddamn Da Vinci "tasted flight" it is raped and beyond all reason destroyed to no meaning at all. please post neither, for this insomatic, late night websurfur will have none of it. and i just might puke on my laptop if i see it.

but ones i really liked...

"Your Standing on your Bridal... IDIOT"
-cant remember, i wasnt there.

"Dude, there are a few things you really dont want to learn the hard way, the rest i am going to let you figure out: pull, dont turn to low, and fucking flare."

"Ok bro, there is only 3 handles, and one order you need to use them in. if you fuck this shit up, you deserve it."

-...teaching my best freind how to skydive.(he did perfect)

"Why are they all touching their heads?"

-My baby sister, when we were at the GoFast games, she was watching all of us practice reaching for our PCs, and the movements one makes out of instinct look like you touch your head as you touch the PC for body symmetry, it was hilarious.

"what happens if your chute doest open?"

-every wuffo that has ever seen a base jump

"you dont have enough jumps to be looking at that websight"

-my mentor about dz.com, he was jokeing.

"....and if you are going to have a freefall collision, try not to have it with someone who weighs 200 pounds."

If stupid didn't hurt, we wouldn't learn.

ver 1.0 - If you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough.

ver 2.0 - If you're gonna be dumb, you'd better be tough, but lucky will also work, and it hurts less.

Methane Freefly - got stink?

I prefer Einstein as my source of Inspiration. Subject to each person's interpretation, here are my favorite quotes

On Skydiving
"There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." --A. Einstein

On PLF (Post-Landing Fornication)
"Gravity cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." -- Albert Einstein

On Malfunctions
"When you sit with a nice girl for two hours, it seems like two minutes. When you sit on a hot stove for two minutes, it seems like two hours that's relativity." -- Albert Einstein

On Reserve Malfunctions

Imagination is more important than knowledge. -- Albert Einstein

On Staying on the Ground on Windy Days
Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing. -- Albert Einstein

On Performance Dynamics
"If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?"
- Albert Einstein

On Whuffos
"Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen."
- Albert Einstein

On SkyGods
"Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." --Einstein, Albert

On Incident Reports
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
[info][add][mail]
Albert Einstein
Y yo, pa' vivir con miedo, prefiero morir sonriendo, con el recuerdo vivo".
- Ruben Blades, "Adan Garcia"
