  1. An ole jumper buddy and I did an hour long interview last week~ ...I about broke my elbow jammin' it into his ribs tryin' to get him NOT to tell some of the stories that the statute of limitations hasn't run out on yet! but... if the names and places are "changed to protect the innocent" (and not so innocent).... hell.. unless it was in the past 7 years I doubt you have to worry about the statue of limitations.... Would You Still Jump?

Winds have picked up, tandems are staying on the plane.... so am I! If it's too windy for a tandem it's definitely too windy for my scrawny little ass... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

    First Helicopter Jump

I've done several helicopters and a balloon jump... can't say I've gotten the 'falling' sensation (probably because there's nothing next to you for reference), but you can definitely feel yourself accelerating and it's an awesome feeling... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." --Albert Einstein Beyond the obvious applicability of the above quote to your "feel-good" strategy, I am humbled by your reckless disregard for the safety of other skydivers. It's obvious to everyone that the man is immune to both instruction and self-examination. But I guess we have to endanger everyone else to appease your dream quest for Kumbaya. And your obvious desire to ostracize him and push him away will make him go to another dz where they don't know him and he'll keep doing the same shit until someone DOES get hurt... what does that solve? Not a dam'n thing.... take him up on 2 & 3 ways and work on his skills... oh, wait.. I forgot, skydivers don't pay it forward or help those who obviously need it.... DB Cooper

Using the theory that Cooper had been a load master.... He would have had experience dropping cargo with a parachute, some spotting experience could be gathered doing that. Who would have known the stairs on a 727 could be lowered in flight? At some time someone did tests and knew it could be done... who did these tests? It's possible that's where Cooper got his information, either directly (involved in the tests) or indirectly (from someone who was involved). Considering the time frame, the US was involved in Vietnam at the time... did the US government use 727's at that time? The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

Do jump with him. Tell him why you are jumping with him. He'll either figure it out improve his skills or become a skysurfer. Fixed it for ya... I like this answer better... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

    Student, 12 jumps, 1 cutaway

For some reason "Look before you leap" comes to mind right about now.... FWIW, I always look when I get to the door... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
  10. During the summer... I'd suggest touring the northern states, it gets too dam'n hot down south. If you make the trip during the winter then I'd say Eloy, Perris, Elsinore or pretty much any Florida dz... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

    Student, 12 jumps, 1 cutaway

When I went from a student canopy to a sport one I was told to do some practice flares up high and to be careful on the turns because I could spin it up into line twists... I paid attention! The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...

    USPA Dropzone??

Checking the dropzone data base here it shows Alaska Sky Sports as the only listed in Alaska. According to their information they do require USPA membership. A simple way of finding out is to just ask. If the instructors have their USPA ratings I don't think it matters if the dropzone is a group member or not. I can think of a couple reasons why Seattle instead of Portland... 1 - He lived in/near Seattle 2 - He had an accomplice on the ground waiting to pick him up 3 - He drove to the airport and didn't want to leave his own abandoned car in the vicinity of the airport. I didn't pick the colors on mine, and wasn't very thrilled with them at first... but it kinda grows on you after a while... plus nobody can say they didn't see me... The only naturals in this sport shit thru feathers...
