How much do you know about the USA's Federal government?

Recommended Posts

Sometimes you gotta ask yourself ....

How many CITIZENS of this country could actually pass the test they give to those who come here and wish to become citizens...

I looked at the results and its staggering how many people get so many of these wrong.. and these are very simple questions..

Same here, but I guessed on question 22 (about the number of unratified amendments). I narrowed it down to two before guessing, though.

Question number eight is misleading, since no amendment sets the minimum age for voting to 18. One amendment does set the maximum minimum voting age to 18, but does not forbid those younger than 18 from being allowed to vote.

Interesting that the Canadians--except for the statistically insignificant numbers from Nfld--scored near the bottom. It underscores something I've believed for years as a recovering Canadian--that Canadians do not know as much about the USA as they think they do.

I would wager that most Canadians are more well versed in americana then vise versa due to media exposure from the US....

So Canadians always say. I think they're full of it.

Full of what?

I think Canadians tend to assume that the same things are important to Americans as are important to Canadians.
