TomAiello 26 #1 May 1, 2006 Nice job, Russel. If you live in the LA area, go buy him a beer. There are at least 9 very tired BASE jumpers who've either just gotten home, or are almost there by now. We had minor issues, a lot of heavy lifting and hauling, the use of a furniture dolly to move a jumper up a steep slab of rock, minor hypothermia, a total loss of light, and more than 24 hours of driving, all adding up to one of the most exhausting one day BASE expeditions I've ever participated in. Props to all who shared this adventure. So, when are you doing the B and A?-- Tom Aiello [email protected] SnakeRiverBASE.com

lifewithoutanet 0 #17 May 1, 2006 This weekend was what BASE is all about. It was an adventure from start to finish with phenomenal effort by all involved. You put the hours, miles, and lack of sleep into it that we did, all for a couple of seconds each. And there's not a doubt that it's all worth it. Congrats, Russel and everybody else involved. -C. pBASEtobe 0 #20 May 1, 2006 That was the silliest, most exhausting and greatest weekend ever! None of it would have been possible without everyone’s help. Thanks to you all for giving up sleep and exerting an insane amount of energy and time to help me get my “E”. For those curious about Abbie’s talus landing comment, yup I landed on the rocks unintentionally. Luckily, I didn’t break anything! So, this turned out to be my first “E” and my first ground landing. Also ironic is the fact that this time I was the only one that landed on the ground and everyone else landed in the water. There is video and stills out there somewhere. I just have to get a hold of them. Thanks again to everyone. It was an adventure I'll NEVER forget!

NickDG 23 #22 May 1, 2006 Another "first" set by Russel . . . The first BASE jumper to hit the NRGB in freefall, and now - the first BASE jumper that ever missed a body of water the size of Rhode Island . . . Congrats Brother, two down, two to go . . .!
