  1. Which wasn't mentioned in the OP. Guess your mind just goes there. So perhaps shropshire is naturally scummy since his mind just goes there.
  2. If you think that's the fault of the guy driving the car then you are an ignorant fool. The motorcyclist didn't have control of his bike and his excessive speed was to blame. Oh and he hit the mother fucker from behind.
  3. Sure, why not? An adult should be allowed to do whatever they choose to do so long as their actions do not put innocent persons in harms' way. The way I see it - let Darwin take care of them and God will sort it out. I don't think there should be seatbelt or helmet laws for the operator of any vehicle. But passengers should be required to wear helmets and seatbelts.
  4. I call bullshit. Pics or it didn't happen.
  5. What do you think Romney would have done differently that would have prevented the current crisis in Ukraine? We need to step aside, walk away and let those bastards deal with their own problems.
  6. Not sure I understand the whole 1 to 0 comment. In the United States we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which summarizes our basic unalienable rights. One of those would be freedom of religion. Freedom of religion means the freedom to worship or NOT worship some god or multiple gods. Jesus and God and the disciples have had a good run over the past couple of hundred years here in the United States. It's time to let the "other" worshippers enjoy the same freedoms.
  7. And hey let's not forget the Muslims. I overheard some fucking retard redneck saying that America needs to rid itself of the Muslims because they are the evil that breeds terrorism. Seriously? Evil that breeds terrorism? How fucking stupid can people really be? There are so many idiotic chimps that turn on CNN, FOX, MSNBC or some 'canned' news show and listens to 4 or 5 words and are completely brainwashed. The redneck idiots will believe anything because they like to be spoon-fed.
  8. Well sure - why not? The American politicians and military leaders need a good boogie man to keep their agenda going. They enjoyed such a long period of "cold war" and communist bullshit. There was a quiet period and then "boogie man terrorists" became the new rave but it's hard to keep claiming the boogie man is coming to get you when he doesn't step foot on your soil.
  9. It's called a preemptive strike. Essentially the woman's attorney is assuming that the decedent's family will file a civil suit against her. So, in order to get in front of it - they file their civil suit first. It then turns into a legal swinging dick contest and the person with the most cash to burn on legal fees wins.
  10. At our DZ we jump from a C-130. Actually it's a Super Otter but I think it's easier to round up.
  11. wow! You realise this can escallate into a major international war? The sanctions that have just happened in the past couple of weeks have prompted major energy deals between China and Iran within the same time period. These energy deals jeapodise the petro dollar and in tuen the entire US and world economy. I think people that do not 'give a shit', ought to open their eyes. Nothing (global) will come of anything going on over there. Everything that is happening right now is slight-of-hand. It's an illusion to something else that is happening that has nothing to do with nothing. Americans need to stay the fuck out and let everyone deal with their own damn problems for a change.
  12. OR... a friend of my friends' friend says your friend of a friend shouldn't skydive anywhere within 10 nautical miles of water.
  13. Who gives a shit about what's going on over there?
  14. If he were to be assassinated could we just dump his body over into the Canadian border or would they reject him as well?
  15. I am a whuffo for sure, but something comes to mind here. If 20 people a year are being killed in this sport, that seems excessive. Maybe this sport needs better training and more regulation? If you're concerned about people dying and want to make a change, go set up some rules and regulations for the nearly 30,000 people that die each year from accidental falls.
  16. With a user name of "Wannaknow" I think I will stick with my first assumption in that she's shopping for a paycheck.
  17. I decided to put a "reality" edit to this post. Hi, I'm an unemployed dirty whore that wants to work as the manifest chick at a DZ and there is this group of guys (they are a bunch of horny ass skydivers) who I really like. Anyway, these guys have a pulse and that works for me. Smile and they offer to plow me into next week. It doesn't matter that I'm lying about completing my AFF and come to think of it - I can't spell A-F-F without assistance. I catch them giving me a helicopter and they always offers to help me put my rig on. . . Should I continue to be a dirty DZ tramp? Is having a relationship at the dz with more than 10 guys at one time a good idea? anyone else been in this position... on all fours? I really really like them. . . PS: they are twice my age or close to my age or... I don't care - I'm a dirty tramp. Thanks x
  18. The mods need to create a new forum placed somewhere between the Bonfire and General Skydiving Discussions and it should be named the The Troll House. That is where this thread belongs.
  19. Attached is the standard pattern (in black) and many popular variations of the pattern (in red).
  20. OK, so you had the mal and you proved in reality (not just in theory) you were capable of handling a very stressful emergency scenario. That, in-of-itself, should be enough to get most of those sections checked on your A-card. Ya relax - whatever - easier said than done. I almost took out my instructors on more than one occasion because I couldn't relax and was going psycho on swoop & docks. It happens to more people than you think on all types of maneuvers with people with varying degrees of skill. What part of the Category D is giving you the problem? Is it the 90s, 180s, 360s, all of it or just some of it? Each of those maneuvers allows for some latitude and don't need to be perfect to within a degree or two. People either freeze and don't move or they overcompensate and get overkill. I was overturning, trying to twist my body and using heavy legs and no hands instead of using a light leg/foot with a light hand. It's slight movements and adjustments. Also remember to begin to stop the turn before you get to your intended mark which can be a quick but subtle countermovement. Think of it this way... if you pull out of the driveway and turn left at 5mph, you are cranking on that wheel to do your 90; your foot is slightly on the gas but ready for the break and your head is turning right and then left. If you're driving 70mph down the freeway and change lanes, it's a very slight input of the steering wheel. You are falling fast and to get the desired direction it takes only slight movements of your body. EDIT: Forgot to mention, drive down the highway at 70mph and put your arm out the window at a 90 degree angle with your hand palm down. If you move just your pinky - watch what happens; dip your hand 5 degrees left or right - watch what happens. It only takes subtle movements to force your arm into radical motion.
  21. Put it on your head, buckle your chin strap, add a 25-pound weight belt, exhaust all of your breath and jump into the deep-end of the pool. I will bet you a case of beer it doesn't hold you up. Payable upon my return to SDI in August. Of course we will need some verifiable (UNEDITED) proof; third-party preferred - I know what you do from a Cessna.
  22. It looks practical and it appears they have taken into consideration the different mounting options. Post a pic of the contour mounted to the helmet.
  23. I have 300 jumps and bought a Comp Velo 84. Will you teach me how to swoop? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3y_7y2TxVU
  24. I heard rumors of a helicopter being at the boogie - do you know if this is true? EDIT - My progression: PD 230 & PD 210 - Jumps 1 - 40 Sabre 2 190 - Jumps 41 - 162 Samurai 170 - Jumps 163 - 314 My WL is roughly 1:25 and IF I downsize it will be another Samurai but I have no need to downsize for another 200 - 300 jumps. I love the airlock design so flying in turbulence is much nicer - no more accordion canopy. I've done CRW and I've brought it home from some dirty long spots.
