  1. Thats may be but until its put up as an amendment to the bulletin on the PA website, gear here in NZ will continue to be grounded. Please define 'limited extension'. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  2. At each periodic inspection the Packer/Riggers must check the age and condition of the equipment. Those components that have a finite service life shall be permanently withdrawn from service when they reach their service life, or earlier if deemed un-airworthy. Those components which may remain in service indefinitely shall be inspected and if airworthy returned to service. If determined to be un-airworthy they must be permanently removed from service. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  4. If you put an ordinary thermometer in a windflow - like in the airvent inside an aircraft - will it give a true reading or is it affected by a 'windchill' factor? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  7. I'm suprised - assuming that your info is correct - that no one has jumped down your throat for jumping camera with less than 200 jumps. Come on guys, you're slipping 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  8. On my cameye there are 3 wires, brown, red and black. The replacement plug has 3 places to solder on these wires. The red wire goes to the 'center' post which to me looks like it goes to the tip of the plug. The brown wire goes to the 'post' right of the red wire, and looks like it connects to the middle section of the plug. The black wire goes to the post to the rear and connects to the top of the plug - if that makes sense. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  9. I've had to replace a plug in the past. It is a standard 2.5mm plug. A friend of mine who had a circuit tester had no problems working out what went where. The cameye has since conked out. If you don't get a definitive answer before I go to the DZ, I'll open it up and get back to you with some more info. However it is easily doable. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  10. Thanks for that. And ley the slagging continue. Nothing like a little cross border sniping... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.

  12. Is there a set number of jumps required before someone can jump camera with tandems in Canada? Thanks. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  13. It is very hard to determine if a swage is compressed properly without doing a pull test. There wasn't a problem with the cable pulling through. It was a clean break, maybe at the swage, maybe not. It did however get my attention.... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  14. I'm more a Buhdda boy myself... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  15. Went to release my drogue today but the handle wasn't there. Used the other release and all good. Upon inspection, the cable was in the housing but the handle wasn't. The cable had a clean break either where it goes through the orange tube or at where it meets the housing It was the right hand release on an Atom. I use the right because of handcam. We have decided from now on we'll replace all cables anually. Has this happened to anyone else? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  16. Need a freebag for an Atom tandem container, but can't find PDF on the interweb. Can anyone help? Cheers. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  17. The irony is that I just logged on to seek info about PDF and heres this thread. I have an Atom tandem container and want a backup freebag. I've been looking for their website and fucked if I can find it. How does one find them? 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  18. My opinion is exactly the opposite. T think this thread is a waste of cyberspace. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  19. The intial canopy going into the crowd looked like a paragliding canopy while the commentary was referring to skydving. The continuity of the whole video sucked. What can you expect from the press. 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  20. The voice of experience and that of a jumper sage speaks clearly again. Everyone gets one. If *I* owned the tandem rig, then there would be a flotation device on each lateral! Snag point... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  21. The youngest at the DZ I work at is 4 years old. Don't think that it was the wisest decision but it happened none the less.... 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
  22. I know it has been done in NZ with a guy whose legs were off way above the knee. I believe that his leg straps were tied together. I'll endeavor to find out more 2 wrongs don't make a right - but 3 lefts do.
