  1. I'm 5' 11" 240 and I have not broken any planes, yet.
  2. Matt Mullins was tearing it up a couple of years ago when I was out there. I think he was 17 or 18 and flying a Velo. He must have several thousand jumps now.
  3. Go to the Ranch! Then go to TSK. You’re Welcome!
  4. Next time you track...look down. It will catch more air and increase your speed even more. Glad it finally clicked for you! Now it starts getting real fun
  5. If you’re asking whether to do AFF or tandem you are ready to do AFF.
  6. Totally agree. You need to stay current to be a good skydiver. Welcome back!
  7. Chris you live 5 minutes away from Skyventure NH and in 8 years I have never once seen you there. How do you know what the tunnel is like if you have never tried it?
  8. I would contact skydive Danielson in CT, explain your situation and ask for Andy.
  9. It never got finished and was never released. There are two or three previews but that's it.
  10. Yes I have a suggestion. Sign up for AFF. All of the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place after that. Stop talking to your old friends about skydiving. They can’t understand and there is nothing you can say to get them to understand, so don’t waste your time and breath. You will meet lots and lots and lots of people who will understand the more you jump and you will enjoy each jump more than the last. I promise .
  11. Maybe you shouldn’t post in a public forum with such thin skin. As for a Katana, I like mine as long as I open somewhere near the DZ cause otherwise she ain’t going to make it back and it’s not a fun canopy to land in a backyard,
  12. Wow! You talked on a ham radio from CA to MD. That's amazing. I worked with a Ham Radio operator who said that transmitting from State to State was only possible with a big antennae or on the top of a hill. Across country is unheard of.
  13. If I were to start a new thread every time I got bursitis from smashing into the walls I'd have 100 threads going on it. Walk it off'll be fine.
  14. One change one addition. 8/29-9/3 Tiki Bar Boogie Skydive New England ME 9/13-9/16 TSK Boogie The Ranch NY
  15. As a total noob (yet to start AFF, did 1 tandem, 6 minutes in the tunnel) I can't wrap my head around this. I know this is going to be an expensive hobby, but 70hours of tunnel, at a minimum of 500$/hour (tunnel time costs about €600-700 without coaching as far as I can tell in Belgium/Netherlands, so more like 800$), would mean learning head down would cost you about 35.000 USD? That's a years salary right there... OP didn’t ask about learning head down, his question was how long till he could do bigger way stuff in the sky. Just to fly off the net on your head is quite a bit less. But yes. To be a competent HD flyer that is safe in the sky and can fly in large formations is going to cost you at least that. Lots of the top flyers out there have spent way more than $35,000...way more. Even if you work at the tunnel, you are going to be paying a lot in terms of making less than you could if you had a different, higher paying job for the three to four years it takes for you to get awesome. With all that being said I still think it’s worth it, I’d piss the money away one way or least I look sexy in a stiff breeze.
  16. If you disagree why do you want to progress to sit flying? I'd suggest another 100 belly jumps then think about it.
  17. You will probably freeze your butt off with Under armor as well, but for more money.
  18. I will answer 1-4. 5 and 6 are for AFF instructors in person, not on a website where you have no idea who you are talking with.
  19. Sounds like you have your answer. See you in the plane .
  20. Those people are called whuffo’s. They will never understand so don’t let it bother you. You are a skydiver now and only other skydivers will get it. That’s why we all hang out around the bonfire afterward and talk about all of the awesome shit we just did together. Now go out and jump again .
