  1. fortunately I sent them a check and not a credit card number!
  2. so I came home last night and found an envelope from USPA. Opened it and there was my newly renewed membership/ratings card. So I continued sorting thru my mail and there was another envelope from USPA - figured that they were sending a final renewal notice and that and the new license got crossed in the mail - well, it was another copy of my membership card. Continued to sort thru the mail and there was yet another envelope containing another copy of my membership card. Continued sorting thru the mail and there was ANOTHER envelope with a copy of my new membership card. that made 4 copies of my membership card!! postage for each was $.44 and I would guess handeling and materials brought it up to about $1.00. They wasted $3.00 on me !! if they do that for all 31,000 members of USPA - that totals up to about $100.000. anyone one else have this happen to them??
  3. am I reading your graph correctly??? 85% of the people in Finland are 100 year old women..
  4. I'm sure it's not the same thing - but Vista needs a signature for a USB device - and I finally found out that you can disable that requirement when booting up (F8). maybe that will help.
  5. which one you looking for? there is one that lives in Hempstead/Waller Texas - used to jump mid to late 90s at Skydive Houston
  6. we used to have line twists quite often and found that if the distance between the last stow to the end of the risers was too short - it would induce line twists. we started leaving about 1.5 feet distance and that pretty much fixed up the problem.

  13. Austin, for you first 5 way - you did pretty darn good. we took off a good exit - held a stable round, you moved in nicely to the center for the spider, and then you can look at it that WE floated on you going to the next point - (always try to find a way to blame someone else LOL) you'll be welcome back to join us any time you want.
  14. did a tandem out of a PAC750 first thing friday morning with a guy named Chris. it was his third tandem. we were Skydive Houston's first tandem of the year.

my first introduction to skydiving was at the purdue skydiving club back in 67. I stopped by the airport one morning and saw a bunch of fools jumping off of a 10 foot platform and learning how to fall down. I turned around and quickly drove away. one guy in the club used to follow me around and try to get me to join. he threw up after his first three jumps - but he said it was fun.
