Yeah i did my first jump as a licensed skydiver as a 3 way and it was pretty funny. Me and one other guy fall like a brick and the 3rd couldnt keep up with us. We still had fun and stayed safe so it was all good. IMO i think all jeeps are a piece of crap. i've never personally owned one but literally EVERYONE i've known who's owned one has had nothing but problems and was constantly putting money in them. I've known 4 people who've owned them FWIW. i guess if its just a fun car then by all means. But as far as something reliable, never go with jeep. Thanks guys. Just wanted to clear up that while this site can be a good source of information I DO take advice on here with a grain of salt. I just wanted to see what others may have to say and see if there were some pointers. But I plan on jumping some more this weekend so hopefully I can fine tune my flare. they are pretty good when it comes to teaching spotting at my DZ. i learned from a 182 and got a lot of training in one jump. The winds were so high at altitude the plane was barely moving so my instructor and i stuck our heads out the door and she basically would ask me what we were over and i would tell her. Did that for about 10 minutes till we finally got over the spot and jumped. after being out of skydiving for 3 months due to an injury from jumping, ive been able to graduate AFF and move on to coach status. So i decided to do my first solo jump and i loved it. It's neat being up there with no one watching you and just doing what you want. Anyways, with that being said i cant seem to have a good landing. i either flare too high or too low. when i first started i had several good landings before my injury but other than that i cant land my damn canopy anymore. I've talked to my instructors about how to improve but does anyone here have any advice as to what helped them time their flares properly. this is exactly why most people will say always listen to instructors and people who know your skill level... while i dont have my A yet i decided im going to take a conservative approach with my learning new skills because i realize this sport is dangerous and i dont want to do anything to jeopardize my life or the life of others... but ultimately i plan on listening to my instructors and people who know how well i jump and see how they feel about me moving up.
