  1. Actually William the Conquerer and his ancestors were Vikins who had captured Normandy from the French. Although they had lived there for a couple generations and were French speaking. Just as a linguistic aside, there are also Scandanavian cognates that became part of English at the same time, such as Earl (from Jarl). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. I wonder if she is a size 8 or less. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  3. The truth is that it all has to be cut, along with everything else. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  4. Romney states he would like to grow the military by another ~100,000 troops. We can't afford it. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  5. For a coach rating you only need 100 jumps, so it sounds like you have at least that many signed jumps. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  6. Congratulations to both of you. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  7. Well-well look. I already told you: I deal with the god damn customers so the engineers don't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  8. Fairly unusual to see somebody Godwin his own topic on the first post. My advice is to at least wait until you get a couple replies. No, I say take the job if it hs hire/fire authority. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  9. Exactly. I can be fully open less than 200 ft. after exiting the plane on a hop and pop. My regular pull altitide is 3000 ft. I would have no problem getting out of the plan at 2100 ft. on a hop and pop. (I've ground crewed for at least one demo which exited at less than 2500' due to low clouds--would have hate to see that one cancelled). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  10. When I broke up w/ my last GF, I described it as cutting away... Have an immediate reserve ride, or did you take a delay to get stable first? The most important thing, when going to the reserve girlfriend, is to leave enough time for full inflation. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  11. Generally true but it would be enforceable on low hop-and-pops. Couldn't get out below 2500. I am against it on that basis. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  12. When I broke up w/ my last GF, I described it as cutting away... "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  13. Somebody is going to get it, the obvious answer is to start selling those items to the filthy rich. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  14. Right, decrease tax rates and revenues increase. The obvious answer is to decrease tax rates to 0 and then tax revenues rise to ∞ "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  15. that's a tough one then. They are authorized to go get the containers, but they can only use the info if they are smarter than the suspect. Seems it'll just breed smarter criminals? Then is that worth it to protect all the rest of us? Remember that there is no evidence that the hard drive or safe contains anything incriminating. It might well include information that is embarassing but either not illegal or not related to the conduct on which the search warrant was issued. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  16. She should go to jail for contempt rather than revealing her encrypted password. Civil liberties for all. I would wager the Supremes will overturn this one but one never knows. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. Probably didn't want some dude fondling his junk. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. I voted boobies because I like them. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. hold on a minute. In your numerous other postings on the subject, you encouraged this taxpayer paid subsidy to folks like you so that you would use this excess cash to stimulate the economy. If you're only using it to pay debt, I want my money back! (is this politics or economics - the distinction between them is a very thin line) Honestly I thought he already refinances his mortgage and that is where the money to buy his car (more debt) was coming from. 20. Serious answer is that it was started during World War II. Sports owners were worried about criticism for not being patriotic because they did not cancel their leagues during the war effort. Singing the National Anthem during contests was meant to prove the owner's patriotism and blunt any criticism. I agree that it is a stupid tradition all around and should be done away with. 23. Ask a local gear shop or rigger. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  24. Yes, absolutely it is. The biggest example of corporate welfare is our military industrial complex. (Our prison industrial complex is not far behind). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
