  1. I'm new here, so I haven't been banned at DZ yet. I've been banned on some other message boards, so I'm sure my time is coming. I generally try not to be too obnoxious. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  2. Just to clarify, because people have been posting stuff about minors, this is not a minor, just a very small adult. I know when we went Rock climbing she had to use a children's size harness. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  3. It's a Wonderful Life is #1 Christmas Vacation after that. Die Hard might be third. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  4. Thanks, that's little, smaller than I am thinking about, although not by much. Do you know what system they used? "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  5. They would have different harness systems, though, right? I am curious in an American context and how small the harnesses will adjust down to. Also, this would be an adult, not a child (and esp. not an infant, my goodness). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  6. What is the smallest a person could be and still fit safely into a tandem harness? I asked around my drop zone and the smallest anybody had take a tandem passenger was ~4'10" and maybe 90 lbs or so. I'm not sure if there is a manufacturer recommendation. Just curious if people have taken people smaller than this (both height and weight). "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  7. They are the dirtiest ones of all. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  8. A dirty old man at the dz. That's like, 65% of the men out there. Pretty sure it is a lot higher than that. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  9. I want to go to Hell, Michigan for the same reason. They run a 10 mile race there that'd I'd love to run for the "Run Thru' Hell 10 miler" race T-shirt. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  10. Some cheeses are defined by cultures.... "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  11. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_view_flat;post=3727035;page=2;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;mh=25; All a set-up "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  12. Yep, I saw part of that game and the speed of SC's Defense really gave Clemson fits. To his credit, Spiller did take a kick back for a TD. That's about all he can do against SEC teams.... He did not have a very good game last weekend against UVa either. As much as I like him I also think he has blown his chances the last two weeks. Probably a long shot even before that. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  13. Used them in college to sneak alcohol into football games. Have flasked (where little or no alcohol was served) a couple of weddings in my youth. Haven't used one in quite a few years. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  14. Nations have been getting bogged down in Afghanistan for centuries. With the terrain there it is going to be almost impossible to establish any sort of effective control of much of the country. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  15. Yes, there is another thread on this in one of the other forums where the S&TA at the drop zone where it occurred basically said the tandem passenger was in on the whole thing. That is kind of what I suspected from the beginning. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  16. I cut my own. I used to tip, though. $8 and $2 tip. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  17. I still just want to know the whole deal and details w/ the unlimited tunnel time in exchange for a $250 donation. I was hoping Tim would chime back in with details. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  18. Toyota is saying that this is purely a mechnical problem due to a design flaw in the floor mats and possibly the floor pan as well. While that is possible it is also possible that there are flaws in other parts of the system, including the electronics that control the throttle. The transportation Safety Board hasn't definitively said that the floor pan or floor mat design is the problem and they continue to do investigations. I don't think it is a conspiracy. I do think there is a chance Toyota has not uncovered the true source or that they have but are not owning up to the true source of the problem. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  19. I'm not a conspiracy nut, this story has received wide coverage. I guess it still might bea design flaw, but I'm betting on a chip malfunction or poor algorhythm from what I have read. In modern cars the accelerator is not a mechnical linkage to the gas, it is just signaling a chip. I agree that people should know how to stop their cars. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  20. There is a lot more to the Toyota story. It has gotten a wide amount of publicity. The floor mats are not the problem. It is something else (maybe in the electronics that control the accelerator) and Toyota is using the floor mats to divert attention. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
  21. Did you show your teeth? Because if so they should believe it is you. "What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
