you must be type 2 i've been injecting insulin daily and testing blood glucose since i was 10..(type 1) when i was 12 i ran away from home without my insulin (rebel at heart...had to accept my diabetes by testing how long i could go without insulin) talk about "sugar high".....without eating any sugar!! dehydration plus... pissing all the water i drank out as fast as i drank it, nothing could quench my thirst. i bought a bag of grapefruits and sucked the juice outa everyone...then puked and puked..took 2 dayz without insulin and i learned for myself- i am a diabetic... need insulin- and headed to the hospital before i was in a comma and never in 30 yrs. have allowed my blood sugars to be that high again type 1 diabetes- my pancreas gives off no insulin ever...i inject it daily and have complete control and able to keep my blood sugars under 110 type 2 diabetes- pancreas still gives off insulin sporatic and much more difficult to control with meds, diet, and testing blood sugars constantly. 110-115 average will get you many many healthy years!! Pollution in Abbotsturd sucks major (blows out to the valley from Van. and sits here) other than that I feel like I am living in the country with huge park in my backyard- lots of privacy & gardening. DZ 5 min. down the hill. Drive to ferry at horseshoe bay Van.- to Langdale- then up the coast to Smugglers Cove -Sechelt (ferry 40 min. --drive 1 1/2 hr.) This is where I plan to retire.
