So if a particular incident at a CAPS dz has sparked TC to regulate the sport......ignoring recommendations from stakeholders (CAPS, CSPA) then I take it they didn't ignore recommendations from the Alberta Coroners Office??? Does this indicate that the government regulation has improved the risk of incidents with certified safety training??????????? TC will be regulating our sport??? I suppose there is nothing to loose- as presume all skydivers oppose the proposed regulation. Is it appropriate for all to copy/paste the same letter format and sign??? He bought me a tandem jump certificate and I carried it around for 6 months before making my choice to go for it. We became skydivers for 18 yrs. together....raised 2 awesome son's... He made a personal decision to quit skydiving-as god wouldn't want us to risk our lives for pleasure, plus that we be married because our relationship (22 yrs.) has been sin...... I spent a few years trying to understand the concept ...like I tried to understand when he started skydiving and it wasn't until I tried it that I became perfectly aware..... Made my choice that skydiving gives my life pleasure as it always has, I never was into marriage, so why do it now unless I am into the concept he is captive of ...or... marriage to him is for the purpose of working together as servants of god... Windows Vista is (off-the-shelf) overpriced. --too many aspects of the OS and its apps seem unfinished, halfhearted. There are still quite a bit of software / hardware compatibility issues at play - too many. I will wait until at least SP1 has been released before considering migrating an existing Windows install from XP to Vista. I have a very heavy king size futon stuffed 14 inches thick with layer of foam thru the centre, my waterbed frame got f*%ked when being dismantled to move 10 yrs. ago. In desperation rather than just lay the futon on the bedroom floor of my new house-- I went over to the strip mall 1 blk. away and parked in the lane, stole as many dairyland milk crates I could get in my car. I lined them up to specs of futon, on my bedroom floor, took my closet doors off and layed them on top of the crates----(my new bed frame) re: my bed frame is made from dairyland milk crates and closet doors, .....I sleep like a babe!..... It is funny to search posts here with the word 'flow" re: freaking low flow toilets go with the flow dive flow, fight flight or flow.... also when you google search "thought destroys flow" UWF chapter 7- Head Trips http://www.cs.fiu.edu/~esj/uwf/uwf7.htm I found it difficult to relate to the meaning of "flow" in relation to skydiving for a long time....it wasn't until I read about it in a sports related article titled "thought destroys flow." re: There is no sense of the self in the period of flow, but what is called a "merging of action and awareness." The individual is aware of their actions but not aware of their awareness. Thought destroys flow. If the second is split so that the player perceives their action from the outside....flow halts. The person in flow does not stop to evaluate the feedback. The action and reaction have become so well practiced as to be automatic. ........... re: The clarity of response that I receive while skydiving offers fast and direct feedback. There is no sense of myself in the period of flow, but merging of action and awareness. My body receives a sense of ecstasy associated with the most intense moments of flow.... My skydiving developed when action and reaction became so well practiced it was automatic. I was able to leave the aircraft and fly....without thought of how to do it. Have you ever asked your friends/or son's friends: 1. Do they believe the watchtower society is God's organization? ...their answer would be "yes." 2. The only way an organization could be God's organization would be if God appointed it as such. JW's believe that the watchtower society received that appointment in the spring of 1919 in fulfillment (watchtower theology) of Matthew 24: 45-47 Their teaching is that Jesus returned in 1914 to begin his second coming or "invisible presence" in fulfillment of Matthew 24:3. Then in 1918 he began to make an examination of all the religions claiming to represent him to see if any of them had been faithfully and discreetly providing true teachings of the Bible (spriitual food at the proper time) during his absence. They say that the only religion he found doing so was the watchtower society and therefore Jesus appointed them over all his earthly interests in the spring of 1919. So- Jesus would have made his decision in 1919 based upon what was being taught up to 1919. So- when a JW is asked "why do you believe the watchtower society is god's organization?" the answer is "because of Jesus' appointment in 1919 in fulfillment of Matthew 24:45-47." There is only 1 way to know if the watchtower society is God's organization and that is by examining the same record of the watchtower society's teachings that they say Jesus examined in 1918-1919. Re: what they were teaching in and before 1919 is not what they are teaching today. The organization that does exist is 'the watchtower organization' which is not governed by Jesus Christ from heaven but by elderly men from Brooklyn, New York. Employable one-parent families where the parent is under 65. support=$452.06 CAD a month maximum shelter rate=$520.00 CAD a month If you are disabled (handicapped mentally, or physically- and unemployable you receive a monthly disablitity pension. If you are employable you can line up weekly at 6 a.m. with steel toe boots at the communities labor unlimited and make $10. an hour, ...........I think our minimum wage is $8.50 hr. Alcoholics or drug addicts are not considered for montly disablitliy pension, nor are they considered unemployable. So, you have support amount monthly ---your shelter rate is paid direct to your landlord if you can possibly find shelter for the rate you receive. You are free to party away your assistance the day you receive it........take cabs to the nearest liquor store, live it up for 1 day. Then you line up at the food barns in the community for some stale bread everyday- go to soup kitchens at Salvation Army, go to the Sikh temple for meals daily..............pan handle, do B&E's, hit ladies over the head to steel their purses, home invasions to support your drug/alcohol addiction, plus you are free to blow your Universal Child Care Benefit if you have children........I consider this as enabling.
