  1. ok i'm 37 and can hear it.. it sounds a lot like the tinnitus i had for 2 days from being front row at a Motorhead concert in a tiny tiny gym in Bessemer ..Tinnitus depending on volume that could be very very annoying.. direct link to the noise this definitely qualifies as 'noise pollution' in my opinion... I expect law suits to follow shortly.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  5. ah yes because acquisition of materials and wealth, fame and prestige is what creates happiness.. anything else would be unAmerican, I say we burn the heretic! i'm sure if she amplified on her 'big dreams' they would pretty much amount to 'nice car(s), big house(s), and lots of money to leave to our(multiple) offspring' sounds like he needs to dump the material girl since he's much farther along the path to enlightenment than she ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

    IRS

You sure are. Your nothing more than a number and a $ to the IRS. Hopefully this isn't a revelation. There is no law anywhere that states you have to pay taxes on wages for your LABOR. Now if you own a business, or have other revenue, that's a different story. It is how ever mandatory that you file, but you do not have to pay taxes for your labor compensation. Basically all you have to do is file, and if you owe $$$ tell them to basically "Drop Dead" when they retort. The IRS operates by fear, and intimidation, threats and the like. They prey upon the worker's ignorance to get them to pay. They send threatning letters, they threaten to place liens on this and that and the other. It's all a bunch of BS. I've owned, and operated my own businesses for over 25 years, actually i own 4 different entities all together. I pay myself a salary, that i do not pay taxes on. Because i won my own business, everything i buy to operate my businesses is 90% tax deductable ie: ADVERTISING, my work truck, employees vehichles, i get to have two personal vehichles to write off. I pay my taxes quarterly. At the end of the year, if i owe say $25K-$30K, i simply invest in something, or make a "Capitol Improvement" The best thing for everyone to do is research this whole topic, learn what they know and use it to your advantage, within your rights. And employ a really good CPA! Good Luck! Wesley Snipes bought into that line of thought too... http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/14/business/14tax.html?em&ex=1200546000&en=94c36e6b3c0ac69c&ei=5087%0A Good Luck indeed, here is to hoping you escape notice.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  8. I'd say it depends on the reasons for leaving and the overall work environment. Leaving others in an immoral, incompetent and deceitful environment without pointing exactly what has/is being going on simply so you still have 'an out' is (IMO) far worse than speaking your mind. just me perhaps, but I've always had more respect for the people who are willing to speak the truth, then live with the outcome and possible repercussion than those who 'hedge their bets' because they might 'need that job' again. If it is bad enough for you to leave, it should also be bad enough to call those in power out on their bullshit so your 'peers' left behind are not 'unaware'. A single pebble is often all it takes to start the avalanche and introduce change. Change that will never occur if the pebble is afraid of the fall. the only reason you ever have to 'eat crow' is because you chose to put yourself back in that environment. Starving is a better option IMO Those with integrity and solid work ethic rarely have difficulty finding employment in any field, just make sure you have the evidence to back an accusation you make. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  11. sometimes it is more important to 'fall on your sword' than to hedge your bets. Fence sitters rarely get the respect that someone who is willing to truthfully (and as respectfully as possible) speak their mind. ofc many people are often sacrificed in every field simply for 'speaking truth to power' I guess it depends on which is more important for you, the ability to return or your personal integrity. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  13. ah so we can assume you are a Fruitarian? everything you eat (unless you are one of these fringe zealots) takes life in order to continue your own... life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on..... Spare me your abstract argument. So it is murder to pick a head of lettuce, same as shooting a deer, same as hanging a sheep by its foot for an hour so the blood drains out, then cutting its throat. nothing abstract about it. It is a simple fact. Something must always die for another to continue to live.. There is little difference in carefully pulling a plant out of the ground to preserve the 'tasty bits' and hanging the sheep up.. the only difference is your Emo button has become overdeveloped for life of the sheep and desensitized to that of lettuce... google anthropomorphization while you are chewing the cud some time..."Murder" only applies to humans. whither you respect the life you take in order to survive is an entirely personal choice.. but respect or no, you are still taking another life in order to prolong your own. (unless ofc you are a fruitarian.. but then lots of bacteria is dying for you to live still) so again... life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  16. well lets split this hair then.. the customer said 'throw it away'. It is his property until he disposes of it.. if the store policy is 'turn it in' EVEN after the customer has clearly stated 'trash it' and taking an item from the trash is 'theft' then it is 'theft' either way... i suppose the idea that the corp is 'stealing it' vs the cashier 'stealing it' makes it more palatable? or is it the fact the corp is reclaiming 'additional value' (by denying anyone use of the credit after the corp has already collected profit. btw..Ebay is killing this 'unearned profit' as prior to such a resale service a very high % of gift cards went completely unused) for goods they will not provide (by destroying the card without giving any goods in exchange for it) makes it better? I prefer the larger view.. who's quality of life is most affected here? the corp shareholders or the cashier's? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

  21. failure is how you ultimately improve.. if you never fail you are not trying hard enough in the first. 'stress' (and competition) is what creates strength. History clearly illustrates what happens to cultures that lacked the stress of a competitor, when they suddenly 'found one'(or more often one found them). It isnt any different for individuals. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
  22. there is quite a bit of that too on youtube.. tbh it is going to take alot to convince me that I should pay for it a DVD (vs paying for private instruction) with all those resource available for free, particularly since you have no idea 'what you are getting' till it is too late...(you have already bought it) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
  23. exactly... walking out of this show after a performance of that song.. a young metal head was overheard saying...
