+1 i've been skydiving for a year and a half now. I could jump a terminal wall a week from now seeing that i know so many BASE jumpers. But im going to do everything as safe as possible. currently at 94 skydives, my first big goal is WS skydiving. Which will happen next summer! Im not going to rush anything!

Can you give us your recommendations for keeping subjects in focus with the DSLR? I've switched back and forth with manual / auto focus. I've used a single AF point (center one), and I've used all nine AF points. Sometimes the images are sharp as a tack, sometimes they're soft and slightly out of focus. I'm ready to go buy a 7D just because they (supposedly) have improved the AF system. Got any more affordable suggestions? The focusing system on the 7D is the same as in the 1DMark4 so its very good! at least they made alot of improvements since the MarkIII. As for the focusing issue i would suggest pre-focusing on the ground, and shooting at a high aperture!

It would be interesting to see shots from a static camera on the fuselage! if its doable! At least on a cessna it shuldn't be that hard to pull off!

For me (wingsuit whuffo) Jarnos post totally makes sense! whenever you bring up such a discussion you will always have self-appointed SkyGods who has different opinions just looking to bicker about the subject! But Jarno always seem to have very good posts on the wingsuit subject! And seeing that he will most likely accompany me on my first flight i take his advice and learn from it! Not trying to blow smoke up your ass Jarno! OT: that was close allright, be careful! i remember seeing a vid of a King Air stalling with people stacking up. Ripping them off. Having the tailwing pass literally an inch from a jumpers back, My worst fear is having a screw up in the door!

If you are burning it to a DVD, use DVDPREP, a script for Vegas made by VASST! Its free and super awesome! DSE pointed me to the download If you are posting to youtube etc, you should just go to youtube and search for something like Sony vegas render for youtube There are tons of tutorials. Project settings has no effect on the final file. all of that is taken care of in rendering. But vegas defaults the preview window to 4:3 so you can change that to 16:9 in project settings!

Those videos as got a lot of value if someone is on the fence... Thanks for sharing! i love my opteka and i havent even jumped it yet :P

I have the Raynox 3032 .3 HD and jus got the Opteka .3 last week! and the difference is superbig! Alltough they are both .3's

Am i supposed to see THIS much of the lens hood on my new Opteka 0.3 fisheye? See attached photo! Opteka must've put the hood on 90 degrees off... I turned it and its fine :)

I think these prices are totally reasonable! and not expensive at all! Heck! i'd go to russia for the shits & giggles alone! not to mention that awesome MI8! Would't want a out landing though! Every time i search for russia on some video site, i always get superhardcore violence, people getting killled with hammers and sh*t! ;D Participants should be allowed to wear handguns on their chest straps!.... just a thought! Or if you DO have an out.. Make sure you have it with Jarno! He can probably kick some butt if you end up in a f*cky situation!

The quality setting for the little preview window. You can choose from many settings and draft quarter is REALLY low quality. I have mine set to preview->auto. It works good for scrubbing through etc.. But sometimes i too have to set it to quarter..

Thats sounds weird really! I run Vegas pro 9.0 x32 in XP. With a dualcore 2.4GHz processor and 2GB of RAM.. And it has worked really nice so far.. But im going to upgrade next year though.. Sorry if i got your hopes up about a answer to your issue..

Ok.. i haven't really had any bad experiences with it... Its such a loose grip it shouldn't cause any unwanted input.. But im not a TI so i won't say that for sure.. But on a couple of occasions i have fumled for the toggle, after waiting for the pair to touch down and come to a complete halt..

I've cathed a ton of tandems this summer.. We are at least 2 people on each tandem. What i do is i continously run along and as soon as im able to i grab the line on my side above the toggle.. I grab it before the tandem has touched the ground to make sure i dont miss it. Sorry im not a TI, just wanted to share!

Yea! i might have to get a separate helmet for that! preferrably with a drouge on it! :P Anyways this is how i put the box on.. Does it look ok? Two screws in the front corners and one in the center at the back. Alltough the back one interfers a bit with the metal camera plate so i might have to drill a hole in the plate. As it is now it lifts the plate up just enough to make the box a bit tight to close.
