I'm a big fan of Toshiba and Dell. My dad has had the same Dell notebook for the last seven years that he took on all his deployments, and it's still going strong. I've only had my Toshiba for a year and a half, but I really like the way it performs. I have a larger Toshiba Satellite series laptop, the smallest they make in that series is a 13.3," though. I don't know if their smaller laptops have the same quality. Good luck! (Btw, my husband has a Gateway computer and it SUCKS)

Yeah, my student just ran out. It's half off for me right now. If I were in the States, I'd be all over it like white on rice, but I have no need for it here. Shipping costs the same regardless, and I can't stream anything from here (yes, I know there's ways around that, I'm just too lazy to deal with it). And I'll be all over Amazon Mom when that day comes, but, for now, I'm at least nine months from that point (no baby in my belly, woohoo!).

Meh... We all make mistakes and occasionally exercise poor judgement... Not sure why some people don't accept this is a normal part of life. Holy crap what a broad question. When I say there is a WORLD of possiblities, I mean there is a WORLD of possibilities. Dude, if you're serious about this, you need to cruise around a bit. Take some time (and money) and check a few places out for yourself. By all means check out the usual suspects like Europe and Scandinavia, but also think about places like Thailand and all the woderful little islands in the world. Man I wish I was at a point in my life where I was asking myself this question... I'm jealous. Elvisio "someday, though " Rodriguez 100% agree.

How is cost of living outside of Seoul? We find rent to be on the high side, and we live right outside of Seoul.
