With that gap in mind... if a person is under a CF2 for instance, what is the best available next step. Many jump to a xbraced. It is clear they are very different. (assume staying with the same loading/size) when transitioning. I have heard many very experienced swoopers say it is a waste of time to go to a KA or Neos. Basically, the right move being a xbraced with a lot of coaching. Thoughts with what is currently offered? Sure. You can't be a successful CEO of a large company without having a lot of political experience - and a CEO brings a somewhat different skill set to the job, which could be useful in some cases. Agree with this but I think it is important they have experience in international affairs as well. Yes that is my opinion of them. Too short of a recovery arc which leads to a lower turn, and a more narrow window for length of dive and rotation rate. I see way more people, especially jumpers newer to swooping, digging out of the corner on these short recovery arc ellipticals. I figured that is why. I jump a CF2 but also a xbraced. I agree that there is a problem in terms of the RA. You do have to turn low bc it pulls you out of the turn unless it is a big turn in which case it still does but you can maintain a dive better with a bigger turn (naturally). Some xbraced canopies also do this when compared to their counterparts. I think the JVX wants to pull itself out faster than others. Not like the XF2 but it is a lower turn compared to a velo. The XF1 stayed in a dive much better. I hope they improve on this but overall I love the XF2 but it is not a swooping canopy. I have watched and done (a few times) a rear float style exit from the door. It's not fun at all and a smaller frame is advantageous. Just an option but not one that works great for me since I'm 6'3 200 out of the shower....... I grow in the shower and am normally 6'2. Thanks. I'm not a wingsuiter, not sure how I got into this one. I'd like you to note that I don't see any of the current AADs to be worse or better than the other. I do see differences in how the companies that market them do so. There is a thread in the rigging forum about the new CYPRES model. Actually there are many threads there where the nuts and bolts of how these devices work get speculated about in agonizing detail. Just making a joke about you ripping on all AAD's in general. Yeah, like the mistake of NOT making their product crash and still present the "ready" display despite being completely non-operational, the way Cypres did? Or the mistake of not being sensitive to radio interference, like Cypres 1? Those sure were great features there, I wish others had copied them! Stop your fanboy wank, it's not actually presenting any information. Cypres is a complex electronic device with embedded software, and suffers from the same problems all other complex electronic devices with embedded software do. The difference is that for other AADs, you have a chance of hearing something about the changes (admittedly not much, but it's still better than nothing). I'm sorry I told younger jumpers my opinion and also told them to learn about the gear and make an informed decision. Apparently that offended you bc you jump a Vigil. I am also not on here bashing Vigil every chance I get just becasue I choose CYPRES. I do think my choice is a better product for a slew of reasons.... that's why I chose it. So educate yourself and make an EDUCATED decision. To all of the young jumpers out there, I would say that it is a good practice to read through the history of certain jumpers that seem to always be bashing certain products/companies. They have an axe to grind and it's probably unjustified most of the time. You will see this in all areas i.e. canopies, AAD's, containers, etc. To the wingsuiters out there.... won't it be awesome when CYPRES is ready to launch a product that can save your ass like they did so long ago for freefall? Don't worry vigil people.... vigil will attempt to copy it eventually and get close I am sure... but hey they will make up for the shortcomings by offering it to you cheaper! Hiayo.... Long before that I jumped a CYPRES and when Vigil came out I looked in to the product and the company and I chose CYPRES still. Not at you Ryoder. Just a general question. So I see this from an economic perspective. I am not saying it is the only way you look at it just how I naturally view something. With that in mind, do you think if there are other countries that exit, there will be less of a long term economic effect? If only GB exits what do you think that looks like? I was processing this and I think it is very bad economically for the world right now. But in thinking about the longterm outlook I think that if other countries exit as well that the impact will be short lived and could even create stronger economies. If GB is the only one that ends up exiting I think they are going to have a long road ahead of them. That being said, all of the opinions that the "out vote" has crushed a generation could be premature. I do not think anyone knows what this will bring. Could be good or bad.
